so when do we think the fireworks will start? we're exactly two weeks till draft day and last year it was one week before when Chuck made the big Ellis trade.

i bet Chuck is probably twitching right now waiting for the SCF to finish so he can start making his BiG mOvEs.

I mean I did say I was Krazy Kat'ing my post. It's not like the org is doing anything better. Also isn't the #3 guy on the board also supposed to be really good? (Not Bedard or Michkov good but just a shade below I heard)
Isn't the #5 this year supposed to be good? Isn't Hart supposed to be good?

I'm gonna Krazy Kat this post. I say the Flyers trade Hart for an upgrade on D or C, then let Sandstrom and Fedotov be the goalie tandem. Not like the team is gonna be good with Hart for the foreseeable future. I bet he could net solid 2C or 4D plus a pick.
You think Fletch will get a 2c for Hart.
How cute.

More like some magic beans and some extra 2's so he can acquire more d-men with one year left of the deal.

I automatically write off all credibility when someone pulls out "with/in regards to". 2 prepositions in 3 words, and just baiting yourself to end a sentence (or independent clause) with a prepositional phrase...all while forgoing a simple, succinct, and less grammatically entrapping "regarding".

In conclusion, dumb people trying to sound smart. 0/10.

Yea well Flyers should offer Hart and number 5 to Montreal for number 1 and one of their 2nd rounders, tank the season and end up with Bedard or Michkov next year. Easy peasy

Taking Wright #1 then having whoever Montreal takes at #5 be a much better player while they also now have Hart would be a really great thing to experience.

Buying out lindblom would be asinine

I'll say this in terms of management. While I think if he did get another full year in him, he could do something decent, but with his last year and a half for performance, it's a tough area, especially since his cap is 3M, and the Flyers are already getting cap overage charges for the upcoming season. With Lindblom bought out, he would give the team $333,333 back in cap space (so basically, with the buyout he would be -$3,333,333 for the 22-23 season), but cost $666,667 against the cap next season. Yes, the Flyers are a bit lax on LW, but I know Konecny could be moved that way and Cates could also still be on the LW on the 3rd or 4th line.

Did anyone say if Brink ever played LW in NCAA? I could of sworn someone said he did.

But yeah, for management reasons and cap reasons, there is a definitely argument to buy him out.

Unless they plan on extending Lindblom he should be moved at some point. If he has a "breakout" year they can't afford him more than likely anyway.

So the question of the day is would you extend Lindblom?

Lindblom is ripe for a breakout season I'd hate to be the team that bought him out or traded him. Fletcher will probably do it
Is he really? Or did the cancer set him back permanently? Is he a 1 million dollar player or what we pay him?

I love cheering for him but considering a buyout should be on the table.

He is a RFA so you don't need to guess now. You keep him as a depth piece and see if more time to train allows him to take that next step.

Plus, as we saw, under Yeo, he produced more than enough to justify his cap hit. He only had 1 PP so all his production is at ES. He paced for 36 ES points/82 games under Yeo. Keep people that produce AND are solid defensively. It's tge slop like Brown, Thompson and MacEwen we should be weeding out.

Oh was under the impression he was an UFA. I myself do not put much stock in what players do on a shitty team the last 30 games or so. In his case it is a little diff so we shall see if he can build on it.

Guess depends what kind of year he has as as no need to pay another average player 3 million + when you have in house players you may get near the same production.

You don’t buyout Lindblom. For the same reason you don’t buyout JVR. This team is not a contender. These clowns and authentics are utterly deluded in saying otherwise. They can’t afford any big splashes. They’ll be a fringe play off team and then what? In what world do they beat the Leafs, Tampa, or any other team that made the playoffs this year in 7 games? These players, while they haven’t lived up to their cap, are not a problem and should be allowed to play out the rest of their contract and see where things are at. This is the only correct way you manage the cap. Not by buying them out, or trading them with a 2nd round pick. Of course, Cuck will do the opposite and make one last pathetic attempt at re-tooling.

I wouldn't assume anything, Torts is not AV, I doubt he has a shopping list.
If Chuck were to get aggressive, it might well be Provorov for Necas plus, similar to moves CBJ made for Torts.
Torts may not want an older FA with leverage who might resist his style of coaching and split a young team.

i agree that it’s doubtful he has any specific shopping list. But why would this stop Clarke and Cuck from orchestrating a horrible stop gap trade anyway? Why would they wait for his permission?

I automatically "write off the credibility of" anyone who does not instead use "discredit."

Kidding.
