I’m happy to read reports of interest. I just want to know what the Flyers need to attach. It’s a cap trade, not a hockey one.Seattle has cap and they could use someone like JVR; Seattle is pretty light, in both scoring and size, on LW. Plus, in his first season back with the Flyers was with Hak and he had a decent season.
See Dancing Panther’s post on the subjectHow does your conspiracy theory account for the fact that Ellis looked perfect in training camp and preseason?
I bet TK will be in the world of shit during preseason games. No back checks, neutral zones turn overs, cannot get the puck or clear zone. O Trots will love HIM. TK better get some ky.Shouldn’t TK be the type of guy that thrives under Torts ?
Yes. I expect they'll clash a few times, Atkinson will sooth his hurt feelings, and by the end of the year they'll have a love fest.Shouldn’t TK be the type of guy that thrives under Torts ?
JVR is a 20+ goal scorer with one year left on his deal (has TDL value).Seattle has cap and they could use someone like JVR; Seattle is pretty light, in both scoring and size, on LW. Plus, in his first season back with the Flyers was with Hak and he had a decent season.
Applies to being a Flyers fan as well.It might not be a problem surgery can fix. With extensive core issues you can fix one thing and then that makes two other things break. You fix those things and then the original thing breaks in a different way. And it's just an eternal whack-a-mole until you die.
Talking about Ellis.
Is that good management and/or a good spot cap wise?On the Snow The Goalie pod, Ant said Ellis isn’t close and the Flyers are going to put him on LTIR on day one of the regular season.
Flyers have to be cap compliant however, so expect them to move around money to Lehigh to make this work. Also they suggested Lindblom might be waived with the intention of clearing his salary to help create space with the Ellis issue.
In theory, if they move JvR and had Ellis’ money available, that’s Johnny hockey - but the cap compliance part of this is so tricky.
Very interested to see what they do.
I think Lindblom has value. So no.Is that good management and/or a good spot cap wise?
Can’t waive a player on IR. And no team is going take him due to his health and remaining term on his contract. They’ll just have to ride with him on LTIR for the foreseeable future.I think Lindblom has value. So no.
I think the Flyers are done with Ellis. Could they waive Ellis? Wouldn’t shock me if he’s moved either

Thanks Cuck
Francis you absolute turd, you could have taken JVR for free in the expansion draft. Not to mention Ghost or Voracek too.

Nothing. The compensation is baked in at the trade deadline. JVR for Seattle’s 7th in 2024. Seattle deals JVR with retention at the TDL for a 2 or more likely a 3 at the TDL.I’m happy to read reports of interest. I just want to know what the Flyers need to attach. It’s a cap trade, not a hockey one.
