Whoever sommerman is, he's saying nhl agents have confirmed with him that Chuck Fletcher plans on being "much more aggressive than last offseason"

God help us all
I truly hope it's correct. One of two things happens...he succeeds and we're all happy, or he crashes and burns and is fired at the end of the year leaving us with a great 2023 draft pick.

He looks more, let’s call it sassy. When comparing him to years past he’s more defensive. Little more attitude.

I hope that bastard is feeling that axe being sharpened.

Edit: cue the mandatory mention of the 19-20 stretch as a beacon of light.

LOL. This is the guy who was AV’s longtime assistant, who was in the ECHL before last year. They switched him to the PP after French Mike was canned — that was great. Why is this guy still in the organization?!

This team is f***ing atrocious.

Tortorella has said that he wants strong assistants to help him with the stuff he sucks at, and their response is to keep confirmed failures. Fletcher does hate working though, and sticking with people who already exist minimizes the amount of work he has to do. Above all, they are lazy as hell.

“What’s wrong with Ellis”

“Basically everything in the middle of his body”

Lol I can die on this hill, that Nashville wasn’t at least somewhat aware when they opted to move him.
Of course they were. Players of Ellis' caliber aren't traded for a 2 fizzling prospects. They knew exactly what they were doing and understood the entire picture. As usual, Fletcher did not. You will not die on this hill alone

Backup goaltender sounds to me that they only go outside the organization for a try-out player, which quite frankly would only really be to cover themselves in case someone gets hurt in camp or early in the season. But just like everything else, it's not something they can get wrong.

I’ll take it a step further, and say his defensiveness/secrecy of the topic was on purpose. I don’t buy this magically all just sprung up the minute he hit the ice in Philly.

That BS we heard about “ohh it was my thumb” or something when being pressed about his injury history initially.

He had an idea, and now he’s milking it. Good for him I suppose.

It's all one big con - been saying it for over a year

They know how clueless Scott is and are just making millions as long as possible

Oh no my sweet innocent friend, this is the flyers. He most certainly will not be fired, he will be promoted and someone else will become the new puppet. Thank to Clarke and holmgren still being here, there is zero chance it turns out good for us

So ditch Hart then ?

Love people so scared of trying to get a better option.

There should be at the very least thoughts regarding Hart’s place on this team moving forward. Not looking to openly move him, but a conversation.

I don’t question the talent. I question the physical durability.
