Kamloops loses their first game of the playoffs in a 5-1 blowout. Stankoven primary assist on Zellweger's goal.

Oh shit didnt realize they were playing Seattle. Might have to make a trip to see Stankoven this series.

Blazers lose again, Seattle holds serve at home. Stankoven 3 assists on all Kamloops goals. Seminoff with a goal as well.

Stankoven 2 assists.

Seminoff with a goal. Blazers make it 1-2 with a win at home.

Doubt anyone cares about still pictures but thought this was a cool shot

Knights are facing Sarnia in the third round, and I am not entirely sure how to feel about Kyrou after watching him in 3 straight games. On one hand, he's a threat with the puck in the offensive zone due to his passing and puck handling abilities. On the other hand, his skating is really rough and he's an incredibly passive transition defender. There's so many moments where he's just gliding back into frame.

It's so strange how his brother is a great skater while he's downright bad at skating.

Lian Bichsel underwent medical exams in Göteborg which revealed that he broke his left ankle. He will require surgery.

He will thus definitely miss the rest of the World Championship preparation as well as the tournament itself as he is estimated to be out of the contention for six to eight weeks.

8 weeks is not that bad... I was worried he will miss half of next season after I saw those pictures

Unfortunate for Lian but a broken bone is far preferable to ligament issues. Heal up this summer and get ready for his last SHL season.

His contract ends this year. He could go back to the SHL, but he could easily make the jump to the AHL as well. Dallas did it before with Honka playing him as an underaged prospect.

Was really looking forward to seeing him at the World Championships.

I hope he does come over next season - even to play full time in the AHL.

Stankoven 2 assists. Seminoff another goal.

I know Seminoff plays on Stankoven's line, but I think there's something there. He makes some nice plays independently.

Anyone think Matthew Seminoff will be in Texas next year?

If he's allowed to i think so. IRC despite him only turning 20 he in December he should be allowed because he'll have played 4 full WHL season.

He'd have to be absolutely not ready in camp to not start in Texas and be not send to Idaho but back to the WHL

I think the fact they signed him is a good indication he'll be in Texas next year. They could have just waited a year and not burned a year on his ELC. I think Kyrou is in the same boat.

Yeah, since Kyrou and Seminoff are both late birthdays, next season is their overage season. It would be a near zero percent chance either are back in the CHL.
