Massive jump in points this year . Wasn't even PPG last year with both of his team. Something really must've clicked this year with him in Prince George.

Yea, being 20 and dominating kids 2,3,4 years younger is what clicked. lol

These overage signings are fine, but the hit rate is like 0.5%. But 0.5% chance is better than the even worse players we drafted and won't give contracts too so it's smart move to get better players under contract.

Either way, we are going to have a beastly Traverse City team again, especially if Martino goes pro after this year.

In unrelated news, Tye Felhaber figured out the ECHL in his age 24 season

Well all these additions basically mean there's going to be a cleanout in the AHL this summer. Wonder if they like anyone besides Bourque and a few of the vet forwards?

Im not too sure about the AHL level contracts but based on who is contracted for next year with ELCs Texas could have:

Blumel-Bourque-Stankoven
Wheatcroft-Back-McDonald
Stranges-Arcuri

Harley-Kyrou
Grushnikov-White

Poirier

So they go from ridiculously vet heavy to overly young prospect heavy. Year to year changes in the AHL can be crazy. Still I'd rather see Stranges in 80+ games to find out if there's something there than another year of Damiani if Dallas doesn't think he has it and obviously they don't due to the fact they've called up multiple others over him.

Like the Wheatcroft signing - essentially no risk. I wonder if that was the contract that was "planned" for Logan Morrison?
