Anyone know what happened to Ertel ? I have noticed him missing from box scores in Brampton games. Injured?

I get the point you’re making but he wasn’t doing too bad and now I don’t see him on the roster. Was he cut or injured I’m wondering?

He's been doing well. Not 3rd round pick well, but there have certainly been worse picks.

Ertel has looked badly out of place whenever he's around other Stars prospects. He's at the level of a development camp free agent invite that for some reason (well we know the reason) was drafted fairly high.

Been cool to watch Bourque get used to the AHL after a bit of a slow start.

From Oct 14 to Dec 21, he had 11 pts in 28 games (0.38 ppg)

Since Dec 30, he's had 21 pts in 23 games. Not bad (0.91 ppg)

Honestly very impressed how well Poirier handled himself in his first pro-season. Played most of the year ECHL ( and played amazing there ) but when called up also looked great in the AHL . There might be something there in the not too distant future in terms of NHL backup at least.

The best part of that game is Adam Scheel coming in with 4 minutes left and giving up 2 goals. Dude is a beast.

I still remember someone pumping his tires saying he would be a backup this year or last year? LoL

When he first came in as college free agent Scheel looked pretty good but since then looked meh in the AHL at best. Doubt he'll get qualified unless he's willing to be AHL #3 and mostly ECHL guy next season . Murray and Poirier will be AHL goalies next year full time .
