He could be less than an AHLer like Fellhaber ... not saying he won't, but it's a different situation totally. Fellhaber dominated the league as a 20/21-year-old. Logan Morrison turned 20 only 2 days ago. That was his 19-year-old season where he just dominated the OHL playoffs ... the exact same age as Mavrik Bourque and Antonio Stranges. His production is legitimate and something to be excited about for someone his age.

Even though he was as dominant as Johnston, Bourque, and Stankoven in the playoffs, realistically, he's at the same level of prospect as a Riley Daminai or Antonio Stranges. There's no guarantee any of them make it, but they are legitimate prospects compared to a Fellhaber where you're just sort of taking a chance. Overage production like Fellhaber's rarely means a ton. It's not an indicator of potential future success where the season Morrison just came off of really potentially is.
Yeah I forgot Fellhaber was an overager. Morrison looks pretty sexy in those highlight reels. I’d like to see more highlights of his skating. Same with Kyrou lol

Put him in the Gary Roberts program and you might have a player here.

That only factored in the regular season (and not all of it). Morrison had a solid regular season, but that post-season was epic. I'm not sure if they are able to do the same thing with playoff points though since most guys have a very small sample size. Only a few get to play a meaningful number of games.

If they can get half of that production out of those 3 actual prospects, then I'd consider that a win. If they can get Logan Morrison into the organization too, even better.

Murray is wearing a fresh set of white and green pads so that’s probably a good sign he will sign with Dallas/Texas.

I thought that was his UMass mask in the video with those fresh new pads, but I couldn't see the number. I had the same thought as you that if it was him that should be a pretty good sign he'll be in contention for the starter position for Texas.

I'm pretty pumped about the goaltending position at every level if that's the case. Murray was a stud for Texas. I hope he can build on it.

Sounds like there is a slight health concern with Johnston. Great interview from Peverley, really good insights and good to hear his thinking. Sounds like he really starting to take a nice leadership spot in the front office prospect wise.

I'm not sure if it'll be Dallas, but it feels like Peverley will be a GM at some point in his career. If they transition Nill to President quickly, maybe it's too soon for him, but if Nill's timeline is a few years down the line, Peverley feels like he could be a really great candidate.

Pevs did surprise me though. Jim Nill LOVES his players getting big-game experience. I thought it was a certainty that barring injury, Dallas' 3 headed monsters would be at the WJC. Based on Pevs interview, I'd be shocked if any of them participate. Pevs mentioned they'd sit down and guide those players with what will be an important decision, but he kept emphasizing rest and not getting burned out. Sounds like Dallas may prefer them not to go to the WJC because they all legitimately have a shot at NHL time. He also confirmed that they didn't bring in the Swedes or Bichsel because they didn't want to burn them out since they would be playing at the WJC.

Johnston tweaked his back, but he plans on skating before camp is over.

I've been thinking that as well. I almost wonder if there is a little bit of internal competition for the next GM between Pevs and Greeley, who seem to have taken very different approaches to get where they are now.

Jim Nill loves competition. That would definitely make sense.

It's the leagues fault because players lose out on all the remaining money if they officially sign retirement papers and the majority unstandably don't want to do that. Bishop even had an official retirement press event where he said yeah i'm retiring but not officially .

This in turn lead to a wierd economy within the league where dead contracts of players who can't play anymore because of injury but aren't retired actually become valueable.

If the league was serious about this they could make medical exemptions for guys who are unable to be medically cleared to play.

At least the Sabres are cool with Bishop helping out with the Stars while in theory beeing one of their players.

According to CapFriendly we have his rights until 2023 now. Wonder if it has something to do with all the COVID issues with hockey?

That's got to be the explanation. However, I would imagine it's not a great sign for either player that Brinkman or Sjolund weren't even invited.
