He's been the best player for either team in the 1st period of this game. Just added a goal after he nearly setup another one. Huge step up for him, he looks like the Stankoven we are used to seeing

Not sure why three teams dropped out this year, hopefully it gets back to a proper eight team tournament next season. Only the Leafs play four games, and luckily for us, the Stars will happily miss out on playing the Columbus "Prospect Tourney Head Hunters".

We should have at least one well produced game to watch against the Wings on Saturday night, maybe the Leafs game as well. I can't remember if St. Louis sends a crew or not - the Wild is the only other team I for sure recall as sending a broadcast crew to the games.

I didn't post this in its own thread because I don't want to be the OP in charge of updating with lineups and whatnot - one of you more responsible types can take care of that .

It's unbelievable how dominant Stankoven is on faceoffs. Just a perfectly clean win almost every time

Stankoven feeds McTavish with a great pass on the PP and he taps it off the post. Then Stankoven gets a partial breakaway and scores shortly after

He's just on fire right now.

He has won 16/17 faceoffs today as well
