Is it one of those deals here a full team has to join or can individuals sign up?
You can just sign up and if you don’t have a team you request to join they’ll assign you to a team or if it’s like MedStar, to the free agent list. At MedStar there’s a free agent list that gets passed around to the captains after every season so teams can fill out their roster. I met my current team through guys I played on the military team with but when I’ve joined most other teams or leagues I just signed up and was assigned a team.

Not sure what your skill level is but I know guys at pretty much every level in the league at TSJ so if you want an intro to a specific skill division shoot me a DM.

Florida definitely has that look. Them winning would be a further trend that the Caps started, being the 4th team to win the Cup the year after they had the most points in the league. Caps most points in 16-17, won 17-18, Tampa most points 18-19, won 19-20, Colorado most points 20-21, won 21-22. [Don't think Avs won President's Trophy due to tiebreakers, other three teams all did.]

The Canes are a great team, but Florida just looks unbeatable all the sudden. When they fall behind in games I still just feel like they’re going to win. We know that the biggest thing in the playoffs is finding your game and getting hot at the right time and Florida is doing it. Tkachuk is insane and Bob is just out of his mind right now,

I’m starting to love Tkachuk, they should just give him the MVP now.
When I watch Tkachuk he’s who I wanted Mantha to be. Tkachuk has ridiculous hands for a guy his size and the size to be a bear below the hash marks and goal line. Mantha has similar hands but nowhere near the tenacity Tkachuk plays with. Wilson and Mantha should just watch highlights of Tkachuk and see if they can learn a few things.

Interesting. The biggest difference is compete level. Tkachuk is a leader and made improvements while taking charge when it counts. I get it though with the size comparison and not just with screening the goalie for garbage goals. Tkachuk can score any style of goal and not afraid of going to the net.

I don't think either have the similar creativity and passing ability Tkachuk has but for Mantha he is just too soft of a player to be like Tkachuk. It's hard to play like him, he constantly goes to the dirty areas and scrums and that playing style is tough. Some are just content drifting on the outside and waiting for s scoring chance to come.

I hope Wilson studies how Tkachuk plays around the net. Wilson does go there but there is certainly room for improvement there. He's going to need that kind of dimension in his game later on in his career.

Wilson is what 28 and he still hasn't figured out how to not fall down so easy. Don't think he can be a moose in the paint at this point doesn't seem like it is in the cards.

I'm not ready to give up hope. He's been evolving his game all along and had a pretty big setback this past year with the knee. Not saying he'll be Tkachuk, but I think he still can be better.

I think being good around the net is less about being a moose and more about being crafty. Certainly being hard to move and slamming home rebounds and getting tips is a big part of it, but being able to make plays in tight spaces, knowing when to go behind the net or to fall back a bit, and playing off your teammates is what makes Tkachuk so good in the offensive zone.

What also makes Tkachuk so good is that he is crafty very far away from the net. A stat was recently cited about how Tkachuk is in the 98th percentile in zone exits and it makes sense because he is so good along the wall near his defensive blue line. He’s able to get the puck off the wall to a streaking teammate while being pressured from the opposition. Some of this is due to his strength but he has instincts and craftiness that I don’t think Wilson (or many others) could dream of matching. Ovechkin is actually quite good at zone exits for this same reason, but again much of that is just superstar level instincts and playmaking despite not being a great skater.

Wilson’s 29 years old. It not realistic to expect an extra dimension to be added to his game at this point in his career. Even if you throw out last season due to his ACL his progression has been stagnant since 2017-18. Washington would be wise to listen to offers for Wilson this offseason and move him given the year Tkachuk has had and how power forwards will be perceived. His next contract is not going to age well unless he takes a huge discount.

It's time to let it go. In hindsight, an obvious mistake. No one here but Maaco knew it at the time. :dunno:

I think people are giving maaco too much credit. I went back and looked it up because my recollection was that Maaco claimed CS was underrated for his DEFENSE, which was Maaco's obsession. He did not just look at Stephenson and say "that guy's a star goalscorer and we're using him wrong". Offense was a "bonus".

He also admitted bias because Stephenson played his junior hockey in his town.
