Zellweger finished his game with two assists but was -7 (!) in an 11-3 loss. I didn't see the game, but I suspect goaltending was an issue.

Ben King and Conor hvidston squared off and both finished with two assists and first and second star of the game respectively.

Michael callow finished his game with an assist, as did Sam colangelo.

Sean tschigerl finished his game with an assist. Bit of a slow start for him.

Mintyukov was held off the score sheet for the first time this season. Finished with one shot, +2.
Tschigerls team is terrible, I’m interested to see what happens if he gets traded to a more competitive team. He has so much more scoring potential than he has shown with this team.

Everett up 4-1... Zellweger hasn't gotten a point yet.

More important is his overall game, IMO. Without seeing the games, I see that his neutral +/- is below average on his team.
I'm not sure that I'm excited if he's running around like a forward in the WHL (it's my impression from the highlights). As I don't see how that can translate to the NHL

That's why I'm hesistant on the hype with Zellweger. Sure, the offensive and skating ability is there. However, he is a defenseman. Your primary job is to defend first, then attack. Not the other way around

It's only because of one game when the team lost 11-3 and he was -7. Never seen anything like that with him before. He was +50 last season.

The game yesterday he was definitely behind the other teams net more than like 8 times. He was EVERYWHERE. He's definitely not playing a structured game but he's also way better than everyone else on the ice. He does the move where when someone passes him the puck he doesn't accept it right away he lets the puck slide in front of him to create himself more space... this may lead to turnovers but it didn't last night. (Kinda hard to explain what I mean)

Good point.

In the highlights I saw him being ultra agressive and that is making me suspicious I guess.
But yeah, I havent even watched a game of him so I am far from an expert.

I remember seeing Scouchings video on the Ducks draft review. Someone in the comments said that Gaucher doesn't have much 'offensive potential' and judging by his starting output they couldn't be any more wrong. Seems to have a good two-way game about him

I mean his production hasn’t been anything remarkable, a point per game in the Q could actually be considered quite underwhelming by a first round pick. But context I think is very important for Gaucher. He doesn’t get any time with the stacked top PP. he is relegated to being a two way 2nd line center (which he fills the role of very well), and taking the tough minutes so Rochette and Bolduc can run wild on the top line. Also he doesn’t play a Junior style at all so his offense should translate well as we saw in preseason. Before the season started I predicted he would hit 100 points in the Q, but I think I’m going to have to walk that back because I thought he would get to be the 1C this year, with Bolduc, but Rochette came back so that likely won’t be the case anytime soon. Regardless I still see a potential 20 goal scorer in his future, even with the “lackluster” production.

I still would preferred a higher upside player but at least Gaucher fits what this team is missing somewhat. I still think we could have gotten him later. He was pretty good in rookie and pre-season at least. He won't play center in the NHL imo but he's a good winger prospect for us and how our team is constructed.

It's kinda eerie that there's seemingly nothing about Bowen online, like...at all.

Online, there are speculations that Bowen is taking a year off from hockey. Probably something personal and I won't go researching any further just out of respect. Before Bowen's disappearance, Vermont was happy to accept him, his teammate went to Vermont, and Bowen said he was contact with the Ducks, looking forward to Dev camp.

That's about as much I found - one line on a different forum saying he was stepping away. Inactive on social media too.

Well, hopefully he's in a good headspace, whether his hiatus is temporary or permanent.
