I wish the kid nothing but the best. Don't regret the trade for a moment, but I never had any animosity towards him. The kid desperately needed a change in my opinion and Joe did him a favor. Hope he makes the best of it. I've heard good things about Granato as a coach.

same here. best part is that hes with buffalo now so i dont have to dislike him automatically for being with the wild

Makar averages almost a full minute more than the next guy. He also plays more SH minutes than all of them.

Jost went on kind of a hot streak in Minnesota after the trade I believe. I also wish him the best but I imagine he'll revert to form soon enough. Regardless, it's good to see him enjoying hockey again, the worst part about his final season in Colorado was that you could tell he was miserable and not having any fun.

EK plays like a rover and doesn't give a shit about defense this season. I don't like how the Norris is mostly just a point race but that's how it goes.
Well, Josi had more points than Makar last year.

If everything stays the same IMO Dahlin gets it.

Jared dumbdar consistantly plays him 28 to 31 mins a night in regular season games. Guys flat out burnt out already. Makar hasn't taken an optimal skate all season
Optional skate? Anyway, I bet you Makar would agree that he's not playing up to his standards in his own end. He still makes lots of smart and brilliant plays and decisions, but he's been a part of the team struggle of getting trapped in their own end. Manson coming back should help that, we don't have much heaviness back there when things get gnarly.

Yes sorry for the typo, agree with Manson

Why does everyone forget how much of an impact the wingers have on the D as well? Our best wingers have been injured, and bouncing all over the lineup.

So he's played more in all situations with absolute chaos as support.

Also think some of the Girard stuff is short sighted. It's a worry, but I have a feeling he'll figure it out.

There is also a lot of finish missing from last year. The offensive ability of the middle of the roster probably impacts Girard as well.

I think there is a lot of links to be made including fatigue with Bednar's system causing issues at times without a cup run. I think the domino's have been pushed over and Bedsy is having to reset the table. It all has an impact.

I have no issue adding two more regular season games if it keeps the schedule more balanced between divisions. What they are proposing (4-3-2) is perfect.

Bring back 1v8 and reseeding playoff format and it would be awesome.
They seem squarely committed to the Division thing unfortunately lol.

You should probably take a look at Girards stats and metrics from last season if you think his garbage play is just isolated to this year.

This is a significant impact. Not necessarily the wingers but his quality of linemates in general.

It's honestly not even worth getting into though. The advanced stats that aren't available to the public paint a very different picture regarding Girard.

Defensively he's been very solid this year. Offensively you'd like to see more, but when you're most common forward linemates are the likes of Newhook, Cogliano, Dryden Hunt, etc.... Not as easy to produce raw production in those minutes.
