Francouz is a back up. We know. He knows it. Gondor knows it. Im 99% sure he does not want to be traded to be a starter elsewhere. He will get his chance to take the spot in Denver by the second week of October anyways after Georgiev proves hes Miska.

Shocking... if the past is any indication, this is going to be one tough contract to sign. I wonder what will happen with him... assuming no re-signing in St-Louis, which seems obvious, will they keep him for the playoffs as their own rental or will they trade him ??? Sign and trade or trade and sign will be difficult because his demands will likely be through the roof and he'll want to go to UFA to maximize his contract.

I'm very curious to see what it will look like. I don't think many think it will be under 10. I think the range of opinion is closer to whether it will be $11M or $13M. I think it will be in the $11M, but I'm an optimist :)
He will go to UFA and then I'm sure the golden ******** will find a way to dump Pietrangelo so that they can sign him.

$50mil for Thomas, Kyrou, Faulk, Krug, Parayko and Binnington.

That's got to be amongst the worst top six in price relative to on-ice contribution in the league.

Thomas 23 years old, 77 points
Kyrou 24 years old, 75 points
Faulk 30 years old, 47 points
Krug 31 years old, 43 points
Parayko 29 years old, 35 points

There are much worse scenarios in the league that these 6 players. If St. Louis had even decent goaltending they would be hard to stop with their depth.

Yeah, maybe not the best idea.

It's just not my day, I started radiation/chemo combined therapy this morning, managed to put a full day in at the virtual office but this evening it's hitting hard. I'm not thinking clearly and I about had a heart-attack earlier looking at capfriendly. I hit their depth charts and while they had ERod listed as our 2C, it still has Jayson Megna as our 4th line RW. After calming myself and scrolling down further he's got Meyers listed as AHL bound.

Need to take an ativan and call it a night.
Yes hang in there I have been on the sauce a lot again but trying to scale back and had an ativan myself right now.

No they wouldn’t. Defensively they are a dumpster.

Parayko maybe 29 but hes looked 39 the last few seasons.

ROR isn’t gonna get what he thinks he will anywhere. He’s aging and he’s less productive than Kadri.
Jim Nill will pay him alot. Thats just what the Stars do.

At least all their salary goes to players who play for them...cough Wild cough. That's a good core along with ROR and if the cap keeps going up everyone is going to pay at least that much for their top six players.

Man, I love these videos. I finally managed to finish The Silmarillion in preparation for the Amazon show (took about four attempts to get through it over the years). Good god, the first age is the best age AIAEC.
I literally just watched lotr trilogy for the first time this week and finished it last night. Maybe I should have watched it 20 years ago but that was some long, drawn out boring stuff, 9 hours of pure predictability….. and walking :)

Gonna try Harry Potter next.

Parayko reminds me of Trouba: Big dman who looked good early but never really took the next step.

Provorov could be in that category too even though he’s not as big.

I still stand by that it’s role related with Parayko. He’s great as your 2nd or 3rd best dman, but he can’t anchor a D Core.

Same with Trouba. When he was the #1 in NY he looked bad, and now that Fox is there he’s has a resurgence.

Good add for Ottawa. They need some work on their backend, but their forward group is very very promising.

Interesting timing, with it being a day after Rodrigues signing in Colorado. I'd hazard a guess that Motte was the Avs fallback option if Rodrigues went elsewhere, but once the Avs went with ERod then Motte moved on.
