Could be an interesting name for the Avs, especially if Nichuskin ends up walking.

“There’s at least one team I am working on today that has made a pretty big offer for DeBrincat, which, if it’s true, included at least a couple of first-rounders. One of them would have been pretty high, and I heard that Chicago wouldn’t do that. So, I’m very curious to see what it’s going to take to get DeBrincat out of there.”

Don’t get why Chicago is entertaining trading him in the first place , it’s not like he’s old or on the decline , quite the opposite . Curious what team made that offer , NJ maybe ?

Could it be Tampa tryin to replace Palat? Also, could the first rounders be former picks who are busts so far?

The only way Kadri can stay is if that contract is heavily frontloaded. Not sure if he’ll want that or not
From purely an investment standpoint, a dollar today is better than a dollar tomorrow as you can immediately get it starting to work for you. And with the stock market crashing, it's soon going to be a good time to buy low if you can afford to do so. That being said, I just don't know man. I'd love for Kadri to be back but he's earned this opportunity and I can't really blame him if he takes it.

Tampa trying to trade McDonagh makes me think they've made both Palat and Paul priorities. If they can trade McDonagh and his full 6.75M cap hit, that would cover the raises for both Palat(~1.5M) and Paul(~2.5M) and still have lots of wiggle room leftover.

I'll be curious to see how that play out. He had a rough series against us, but McDonagh was still a huge part in b2b cups and 3 straight finals appearances for them. He could still carry some value to a few teams. But I also wonder how Tampa managed his loss.

They'll probably try to keep the forward group intact and spend whatever futures they have left at next year's TDL to add a Dman. Or just use the McD return to bring in someone cheaper via trade.

I thought McDonagh looked washed for most of the series. It’s a lot of hockey in 2 years though.
