Realized there wasn't much (if any at all) discussion on Brody Lamb, the Minn. public high school kid we took in the fourth round of 2021, so I checked in on him.
He has 2 goals and an assist in 19 games as a freshman at U Minnesota.
I loved the pick at the time, for no reason other than the story of a public high school kid making some noise in this org, even if he was always a project and a half and it's not looking promising at this point.
The Gophers are great this year; I'm wondering if anyone had any insight as to how he's doing in the program beyond just his (underwhelming) stats. Public high school to USHL to NCAA is an extreme leap in quality of play to make in such a short period of time, and I imagine he had to relearn how to just lace his skates. I'm curious if he's adjusting on any level or if he just looks lost. But he showed a lot of progress on the score sheet from his first USHL campaign to his second, going from 2 points in 10 games to 41 in 62 with 19 goals, so someone give me a reason to continue to dream, thanks.
