Well I suppose Primeau is no longer waiver exempt and they expect he won't clear.

Better safe than sorry....

It's a bummer but I also agree we couldn't go in this season with Allen/Primeau or Monty/Primeau....

They're definitely building depth, it's kinda tough to see who's gonna be in MTL/LAV/TR amongst the bubbles guys as we speak. Too many players, not enough ice time to throw around. Trading Hoffman and Wideman would definitely clear things up. Primeau too...

But they did run into major injuries issues last year, so it kind of makes sense

I think that guy added will be Wideman and also maybe Pezzetta.

I hope we got less injuries this season and we get to see what the group in Laval can do with minor disruptions

I guess Philly was pretty hot for Pezzetta last season. I assume he wouldn't make it through waivers.

I don't think they've resigned Beaudin yet, have they? And isn't Vrbetic still under contract?

Good stats in the ECHL, so if anyone gets sent there they'll have some skill to play with.

Hopefully Stapley is back for 3R

So far in the minors:

Goalies: Dobes, Mann & Émond (AHL two-way)

D: Bisson, Galipeau, Keeper, Louaan (AHL two-way), Tourigny, Trudeau, Norlinder, Struble, Mailloux, & Komuls (ECHL deal)

F: Maillet, Andersson, Stephens, Gignac, Simoneau, Davidson, Roy, Mesar, Kidney, Mysak, Novak, Voyer, McKay, Parker-Jones, Montminy (ECHL deal) & Lemay (ECHL deal).

Still to be signed: Condotta & Beaudin.

Ylonen is also left to be signed, but I won't count him in the minors now.

Is that the entire list? Because that's actually not that many players for Laval or possible ECHL calls-up.

That is the list so far. Expect more Laval and 3R signings to come. We've seen almost a daily AHL signing the last few days.
Yeah, I'm thinking a few more will be signed, but forwards can be handled by waiving a few from the Habs ( like Pitlick).

Arpon was saying on his latest podcast that the Canadiens aren't expecting to lose Primeau on waivers.

Unless a situation comes up like in Montreal with Price, that he should slide through freely. They'd obviously like him to make it hard on them and show up to camp as a verifiable NHL goalie.

But most teams have their goalie situation sorted out going into camp and if you claim a goalie off waivers, you have to play him, at least in a back-up role, and you don't typically do that for a goalie who hasn't really established himself well in the NHL to date.

That is logical. Only problem is, like the Habs did with Montembeault, a team could claim Primeau because one of their goalies is hurt. Habs claimed Monty because they knew Price wasn't going to be healthy.

I really really hope to never see Wideman in Laval and I dont think I have seen John Parker-Jones as a D in all his AHL games or the few ECHL games I've seen.
