Maybe he’s talking out of his as*. DA makes that decision, not Berube. We’ll seeSo we running 3 goalies then? I would've thought we wanted to send him down for the AHL playoffs
No way he’s just talking off the cuff there. He wouldn’t say that unless a decision had been madeMaybe he’s talking out of his as*. DA makes that decision, not Berube. We’ll see
*and MacTavishIf we fire MVR* and bring in a defensive coach who knows what they’re doing, the team should absolutely be competitive. That should be priority #1 and I feel like it shouldn’t be that hard to do.
Last season is the only time where I'd argue he was clearly outplayed by his backup all-season, which is why Husso started as many games as he did and was the goalie going into the POs.The “xGa is garbage and Binner is actually good cuz eyes” just holds absolutely no water because he gets outplayed by his backup(same defense, usually the second night of back to backs) every year. He’s the single biggest reason we’re in the position we are in the standings. Hopefully people will finally accept that when he loses his starting job yet again next year.
Anytime I can slip those posts in I do lolGood call. Forgot about him.
Right him too!And Chiarelli
I would be. I'm taking the comments about Hofer "staying up" as what one post said about the fact that Springfield doesn't play until Friday. So I bet they keep him up for most of this week and send him down for the next set of T-birds games. How shocked would we be if Griess announced his Retirement over the next few days? Or that the Blues are allowing him to not travel with the team for road games.
I'm expecting us to carry 3, and Greiss basically has a paid early retirement, but he still hangs around. How shocked would we be if Griess announced his Retirement over the next few days? Or that the Blues are allowing him to not travel with the team for road games.
Ah, I didn’t watch the video and didn’t have context. I assumed Berube meant that Hofer would be up with the Blues for the rest of the season; agreed that he’ll likely be sent down later this week.No way he’s just talking off the cuff there. He wouldn’t say that unless a decision had been made
And keeping him up doesn’t preclude them from sending him back down in a few more days. Springfield doesn’t play again until this weekend. Might as well keep him around for the Detroit home and home, get him some NHL practices and coaching, maybe another game or two, an NHL paycheck etc. And then send him down for the stretch run and AHL playoffs.
He's praying for the Balls of Fate to bring him Luck. What’s wrong with Army? Doesn’t he want a higher draft pick?
Most GMs don't think this way. If we win the lotto, great, if not, oh well. Even if we dropped down to where Philly is, we only increase our chances at 1 or 2 by a couple percentage points. I'd much rather Hofer excel at the NHL level and the other players we have excel, then them continue to suck just to gain a couple percentage points. If the players don't improve, then we have bigger issues. And since Army has stated that the scouts said the draft in that tier 2 group after the top guys is about 12-13 guys deep, we are going to get someone we really like regardless of where we land. What’s wrong with Army? Doesn’t he want a higher draft pick?
The whole tank thing was fun for a while, but now it’s time to shape up.What’s wrong with Army? Doesn’t he want a higher draft pick?
