Except....he wasn't wrong. JMFJ was a f***ing beast for us last year. He was supposed to be #7/8 on the depth chart and ended up having to play 2nd pairing minutes. Not his fault that was way above what he was positioned for and to be honest, he did about as well as could be expected when forced into the role. That's kinda been the running theme of the second half of his career though. He does so many little things well in limited minutes that coaches inevitably play him higher up in the lineup than they should. I wish that Champion nothing but the best.
