Is this official from the NHL? No way Necas is that fast.View attachment 572591
Nice to have 2 of the top 8 fastest guys in the league. I knew Byram was fast but didn’t realize that fast.
Is this official from the NHL? No way Necas is that fast.
Well then the only plausible reasoning here is Necas was backchecking and someone gave him a nudge with their stick to help him skate faster.Yeah that is official data.
Is top speed even really relevant? Half the league can skate really fast in a straight line
Yeah acceleration is much more important than top speed. It's as much about acceleration as it is speed.
That's the case in most sports.Yeah acceleration is much more important than top speed.
1. This stuff is great.
2. It’s pretty hilarious that Johnny Gaudreau introduces himself as he arrives. Very polite, but quite funny.![]()
What are the error bars on this data? Is it using the same technology that initially said Erik Johnson was on the ice for Kadri’s Game 4 OT winner that only Byram saw go in?Yeah that is official data.
Pepe represents Moritz as well.just found out Seider dates Claude Lemieux's daughter
It would be funny if the daughter looked exactly like @RoyIsALegend's avatar but with long hair and lipstick.just found out Seider dates Claude Lemieux's daughter
I don’t understand what either the agent OR the team were doing and why they didn’t indicate their interest sooner.Funny that Jarmo and crew were just as surprised about Johnny’s interest and basically this makes it look like Gudbranson voiced the interest. What was his agent doing lol?
Gaudreau and his wife seem really happy about the move. Wish them all the best

Is Dustin Brown really “build a statue to commemorate his career” worthy?
Didn’t he have his captaincy removed quite some time ago? Not sure the circumstances...
Who else from the last 10-20 years that’s retired would have a statue made of them? Just for reference.

I'd say it's the ability to accelerate and the ability to attack and maintain speed with the puck. That's what makes McDavid so dangerous, he's very fast, but there's probably faster skaters than him out there. However, his ability to handle the puck at speed, and the way he always attacks with speed is the best in the league. That's also why very physically gifted guys like Crouse and Burakovsky who have size and speed aren't nearly as effective as you think they would be. Those guys have to reduce their speed to handle the puck, they have to slow down to make decisions, they hang onto the puck a little too long and eliminate themselves from plays.Yeah acceleration is much more important than top speed.
Brown was one of my favourite players early in his career. For a guy that wasn't huge he laid out some massive hits. I think the statue is going to be a thing where they will be commemorating the 4 core guys to their Cup wins, I think eventually it'll have Doughty, Kopitar and Quick.Sure he is. If you’re asking his mother anyways
Yeah I agree... all 4 will eventually get them. I understand the Brown statue. He was the turning point of the org to becoming a good team again and was the captain on the way to their first Cup in team history.Brown was one of my favourite players early in his career.
