Kypreos says the Leafs won’t simply “hand it over” to Matthews, and contract negotiations will last a while. Kypreos also mentioned the longer the two sides go without an extension, the trade talks surrounding William Nylander will get stronger.

Gruuuu baaaaad.

Definitely don't miss this

Seattle has the best colors and some of the top threads in the league. I really like their approach into the league vs. Vegas' style. Their marketing and promo content is top notch. Vegas is so tacky, almost NFL like. I realize that works for Vegas and probably some other markets in that general vicinity. Probably good for the game, but as a hockey fan, Seattle is nailing it, sadly they have Gru in goal.

Why did the Blues give up on Kostin? Every game I seen him play hes been great.

Man watching Edmonton makes every Avalanche game this season flat out boring. If EDM can play like this I don't think this Avs team will do much if they play them in the PO's.

Ron Francis would be an okay GM if there was a clause in his contract that he wasn't allowed to make any decisions whatsoever on goaltending.

Had to watch the highlights to see just how bad Groob really was. First goal wasn't great but there was a TON of traffic in front of him (once again, the "crease-clearer" is a myth, Seattle has one of the biggest defensive corps in hockey and it didn't make a damned bit of difference). Second one was a crazy pass that somehow lands perfectly on Kostin's stick at point blank range. Groob had no shot--the defense in front of him failed miserably.

Third one though, yeah, that one was horrid. Pull him.

I agree on the first two that Gru wasn't at fault. The problem, and it seems as though Seattle knows this by now, is that it doesn't matter who's fault the goals are because Grubauer is a head case and wouldn't be able to recover mentally during the game.

Once that second goal went in within the first two minutes, I knew Grubauer was going to let in a shitter soon enough.
