I mean if he really did great I want that to be acknowledged and known.
I really don’t think it would help at all in the next few years. We (meaning the public as a whole) doesn’t see immediate changes for the better as actual change. We see them as self serving ways to deflect and as pure PR. Which, historically, the public has a point as many of them have been crafted PR to smooth over the issues. Real change should be the goal and that is only through proven results over a longer period of time.

I mean realistically the easiest thing to do here is to go to the family, on your own, and speak with the kid he abused and his parents.
If he were legally advised to do it he'd have done it. Even 5 yo kids can fake apologies and look sincere about it, people should just stop assuming that he's just too shitty to apologize properly. There are clearly people around him that tell him not to do it.

He was restricted by the court from contacting him, so I’d guess (and just a guess) his family’s lawyer is the core of that. His family probably hasn’t helped either.

Huh? You don’t think the whole reason for this is Miller’s actions?

Exactly.

Otherwise the easiest thing in the world would have been to go to the victim's house, apologize to the kid (make sure to take pictures), bring him gifts, bring him to Burger King, spend a week or so around him, make the mom happy and then have your f***ing NHL career.

He doesn't even have to be sincere about it, the shittiest person in the world can do that if the reward is having a career in the NHL.

Personally if he had become an advocate against bullying and was sincere I would consider that to be actual change. I think I get what you are saying that the change as to be lasting and I agree. I think that he had time to go down that path for it to be accomplished by now. But with all the delay into getting there his path has become harder and longer.

Oh I totally agree… what I want out of this is Miller to become an outspoken advocate for change. Reformed people are some of the absolute strongest voices and that should be the legacy he strives for.

If he was being legally advised to not do that, then his legal advisors are just as stupid as he is.

This is such a common sense fix it's unbelievable that it's gotten to this point, but it says all we need to know about Miller/his family that it's even gotten to this point.

Just grow the f*** up, be a man and fix this. No BS legal counselling or advising or nothing. Because if the guy truly needs all of that to get through this situation, he's clearly not all there. I mean the earlier incidents point to that being the case but this just amps it up.

Damn he should've gotten pointers from RyJo first

This should be a couple of games. There's trolling and being a pest and then there's risking a serious eye injury by trolling and being a pest. Quick being okay shouldn't prevent a suspension.

Is there a better angle video than just the overhead?

f***, I needed him in my fantasy league tonight to come back from a 3 Shots and 1 hit deficit.
Lol I literally added 3 guys today because of how close my week is:

I know all this. It's a super easy fix, which is why I believe that people around him and telling him not to do it.

Look at how Logan Mailloux handled his situation. Apologized, repeated a thousand times the BS that people wanted to hear and now it seems like everyone moved on. Even the Montreal media which is something.

Oof @ Columbus. They really have a pretty decent team, with good pieces up front and on the back end, but they just cannot get a save it seems like. To be fair to Korpi yesterday, the Avs absolutely peppered him with high danger chances, and we'll see if he can right the ship, but right now goaltending is sinking that team.

The competition in the goaltending market is going to be extreme for the few goalies available. New Jersey, Toronto, and Buffalo all desperately need goaltending too, and there just aren't goalies available for all of them. Makes me amazed and impressed that we managed to land Georgiev for just a couple mid round picks last summer. Maybe NYR wanted to move him to the West no matter what.

Kind of ironic that a few of you are putting more energy into drawing sympathy for a guy who deserves very little (if any) than he has in working toward redeeming himself. Now he has his agent out there bending the truth about his “work” in the community. He very well COULD have done those things, but didn’t. End of story.
