Injuries suck and all, but that should give the Habs a better chance at getting Bedard. Why are they complaining? As long as the injury is not career ending
Sucks for the non-nerd fans who like watching the team and its best young player. Remember when sports was like that for pretty much everyone? hahahaha

I mean there has always been a tank in the NHL, and probably NBA. Teams have tanked every season, specially when there were generational players available, AKA Crosby, McDavid etc.. This year is no different with Bedard. I remember when we actually cheered hard for the Avs to lose when we were going for MacKinnon, or some of us thought it would be Seth Jones

Chicago? Meh. The worst choice. They won everything.
Yeah, they can stink for another decade for all I care.

I think Philly would be a good place for Bedard, both from the hockey and marketing perspective. Now obviously Torts being his first coach would be horrific, but aside that, Philly hasn't really had a superstar in like forever. It would suck as a fan of the NYR, but that would be a decent place.

As long as he's not getting into Canada or the western conference...

I mean, it’s never a good thing when a young, elite-level sniper on your team has to have major surgery on his shoulder. That’s his bread and butter and it’s going to be a long recovery. I don’t doubt he’ll come back strong but there’s legitimate concern. Bedard would be nice to have but this is still a bad thing.

Yeah, I said as long as the injury is not career ending, but I actually mean career ending or career altering. As long as Caufield comes back 100 percent next year, this isn't a bad thing for Montreal to have a better chance at Bedard. They weren't making the playoffs anyway

I just remember Stamkos losing a year or two, maybe more, of his prime, because of that broken leg. It wasn’t career-ending but it sure as hell was career-altering.

Caufield isn’t big and he isn’t fast, his NHL ability is centered in his shot. Should make a full recovery but it’s concerning at the very least.

I’d be WAY more worried if it was a major wrist injury. Vinny Lecavalier had surgery on both of his the year after his MVP season and he wasn’t remotely the same player afterward.

All 3 of Guhle, Caufield and Slafkovsky are out long term. Those are the best young players on a rebuilding team.

This isn't ideal for development.
