I think he needs to go down at some point i realize no one agrees with me, however its a matter of control and he is just 18 needs to figure out his limits he is a big kid and now is pretty much a marked man, just part of the development but i don't think it would hurt him at all to spend a little time in the A.

I don't think he intended to injure just really needs to learn his limits and not sure if he can do that fully right now. Second time when he has come close to something awful happening.
 
I can find a handful of hits on twitter that are more egregious boards that didn't even result in a penalty.

You can say it's whataboutism and yeah! The actual written rule of boarding is horseshit anyway and if we used that there would be 50 boards per game.

Agreed.

I really don't see it as that bad...

However, what's bad is this may make him more timid now and gun shy when trying to lay the body.

Just great.

I think it's not good, and he deserved the major. We don't want him taking those penalties or hurting guys.

But a suspension would just seem so extra for what it was.

I'll probably be wrong though, seems like most fans want a game or two so that's likely what he gets.

Make him play with Monahan.

They are both hungry I think with Monahan on a contract year, will oblige playing with a 1st overall and someone else like Anderson.

Let's do it!

Well, if Hoffman can be the Tatar replacement on a line with Gally and middle-six C, then Slaf-Monahan-Anderson could be good.

I think he gets a game? Similar hit to Anderson but they probably take a game off since it wasn't really a charge like Anderson's hit was.
 
I wish he would hit even more often and recklessly. Turn into an animal of a player. A self-controlled predator like Mark Messier used to be. Keeps opponents guessing on how far he might go, which would give him and his linemates more space and a psychological advantage through intimidation. To have that little black corner in your mind, that your opponent aren't sure what the hell is gonna happen in the corner. Doubt he has the personality for it though. Brutality is absolutely a great tactical edge, although in this case it was obviously unintended.

Im not hating, if a bruins player did the same thing to one of ours i would pissed. This was dumb just plain shtoopeed.

send him down because he laid out a guy? That's just stupid. He's producing points while stuck with Beer League Gallagher for crying out loud. If you want him to get a pounding, send him to the AHL its the wild west, full of guys on their last stop, nothing to lose.

He's not going to get suspended Parros will let it slide for an 18-year-old Hulk that learns the league and his body limits.
