I really hope he doesn't play in the NHL next season.
He's probably going to look very good in the pre-season games whenever he plays with Suzuki and Caufield. I can't wait to see that.

Kids got some issues, the biggest night of your life so far and you're too busy staring down the habs table lol

There's a better angle out there but I can't find anymore, someone post it if you have it.

Arizona deserved the staredown more, they drafted another center projected lower than him, that's even more disrespectful than what the habs did . Go Slaf!

Kid is so lame lol. I didn’t buy his good kid/humble act for a second. I knew as soon as I heard his combine interview he was a sneaky little weasel trying to sell a bill of goods lol. The kid has attitude/character issues, is entitled as f***, but at the same time is lazy and has no competitive drive, passion, or intensity. Bust.
You would be singing a very different song if we picked Wright instead of Slafovsky.

The most important thing for his development is to dominate offensively. I think he could definitely hang in the NHL, but it's best for him to take the Rantanen route.

Probably not, he's been dumping on Wright for a little bit now, calling him the next Chad Kilger.

It looks like the Olympics and world championships were both played on NHL size rinks as opposed to the larger rinks used in Liiga.

Hopefully that's a sign that something about his game just works much better on the smaller ice.

Kilger also was drafted from the Frontenacs and went 4th overall. It’s his destiny lol.

He actually compared Wright to stone-hands no-IQ Kilger?? Oof. What a terrible take.

Hoping both these kids pan out and Slaf vs Wright turns into a rivalry. With Slaf winning of course :D

I mean, he seemed to genuinely want to play for Montreal, but Seattle is a good place for him. He'll make a nice complement to Beniers, who plays a MUCH different style.

You need to have diversity in your attack, and Montreal is building that.

Is he really staring the Habs table? I doubt he can see much with all the cameras pointed at him, and it woud be totally out of character.

He's just resetting every pictures. Has to be f***ing stressful.

Arizona didn't meet with him 6 times. Why did they meet with him that many times? How long does it take to determine you don't like someone. One or 2 meetings at the most.

Oh yeah and that was clearly evident when he was drafted; that’s why he went 4th overall just like Wright lmao. Their draft year production is virtually identical.

Lol what? You lost your mind on me yesterday when I said that Slaf was the pick and not Wright. Unbelievable.

Cant see? Seriously? Was obvious as hell when you watched him.
Exactly. All these posters that defended Wright blindly from the legit criticisms being thrown his way on this forum last few weeks are suddenly surprised and are asking what the NHL teams saw that we *couldn't*.

Some of us could.

Absolutely.

Lol the guy you quoted was responding to me, but I wasn’t in the Wright camp. I was critical of both, but came to the conclusion that Wright had even more bust risk than Slafkovsky.
