Dolis has been better of late, but how in the hell are you selling him with 2 men on. Everybody should be available with the day off and you used arguably the two worst relievers on the roster in one run games. What did you f***ing expect.

Yeah you need to judge the process, not the result. Thornton getting in the game in that situation is indefensible

Yup. My main criticism of Gibbons was usually about leash on starters, but thats reasonable then Montoyo.

The 6th inning of a 7-inning game is the same as the 8th inning in a 9-inning game.

This was essentially letting an AAA pitcher throw the 8th inning of a 1-run game in the middle of a pennant chase when the entire bullpen was rested after a day off. Inexcusable.

He had the ball in time, tag the arm and not the back of his shoulder and he's out.

Almost the same as the outfield play the other game. He missed the arm, didn't block the plate, didn't get the out.

Sometimes you need to be lucky to be right, but Montoyo galaxy brains every bullpen decision in virtually every game.

I get he's a good guy and the team seems to really like him, but management needs to take away his bullpen decisions. It's bordering on insanity at this point where THIS many games can be attributed to an awful manager bullpen call.
