Given that now you have to pitch to 3 batters, you might as well burn 1 of them on the walk in case you wanna pull that pitcher after actually pitching to 2 and 3.

And you know it'll be some stupid excuse like they were saving those guys for game 2. Just throwing away wins and not giving your offense a chance. How different is this game if Thornton was never in?

Using Dolis was somehow even stupider. Cimber is going to have to come in now anyways, it's just that now it's in a meaningless inning because the game is already lost.

Sure Vladdy dropped the ball, but it's a one run game. There's 0 chance Thornton should be in the game.

Dolis has been better of late, but how in the hell are you selling him with 2 men on. Everybody should be available with the day off and you used arguably the two worst relievers on the roster in one run games. What did you f***ing expect.
