Other GMs have bad positions as well but they don't force a move 1 year before that draft pick is actually up. Except the Flyers, which is the case study for what happens when you pry your window open.

Drafting a RW? Eichel is held up by a 2022 2nd? We'll see but if you painted yourself into a corner you are stupid, not a victim of the paint industry.

You’re right except about this being “not bad” value. It’s really bad. A first line winger for a fourth line winger and a second is bad.

Buch is a top 6 winger. He will score around 50 points a season his whole career. A good player, a good person and a great teammate, but like Stepan in his shortened season, there is always a guy that produces their full season amount in the shortened season and everyone thinks that will be the norm going forward.

Also, not directing it at you, but in general we should refrain from using first line, second line, etc. The NHL today isn't as cut and dry as it used to be with line numbers. It's much more of a Top 9 and Bottom Line/ Top 9 and Checking Line.
