So Strome is going to Buffalo right?

funny that we were talking about them using Buch to get another top 10 pick for Eichel and he didn’t even bring a first back, let alone top 10 lo

l
I’m not a big Strome fan but at this point I’d rather have him at least he does t Jace serious neck issues that we can’t even check medical records.

Don't be ridiculous. I'm disappointed in the return too, but Blais is exactly what this team needs in terms of style of play. Has a Cup to his name and is an excellent forechecker. Believes he kills penalties too.
Sure, he's tough and has a mean streak. He's also been injury prone and a bit of a loose cannon on the ice.

Yeah, I was not married to Buch long term. He's a first line SUPPORT player, not a first line driver. I was driving the "trade Buch for a young center, even if it's someone who hasn't played in the NHL yet," because that would have been good value for him, despite some on here saying it wasn't.

Well, now would you have liked to get Lundell for Buch? Ha!
I think this trade shows that lundell type talent was never an option. We continue to undervalue assets from other teams and overvalue our own. The truth is in the middle.

But we don't need to move on from salary.

We could just.... not trade for Eichel.
We WILL need the salary soon for the kids though. Buch's next contract would have been money for him and shit for us. It is what it is, but the only team who would have paid a decent price in a trade for Buch in this circumstance would have been the two idiot teams: NYR and Philly.

Buchnevich was never going to be a player that you could win a cup with. Not a great return, but let's see if there are other moves after this that correlate

what "complimentary" winger is near a PPG and the best play driver on his line?
Buch was a play driver? Really? Come on. He didn't get Mika going, when mika is going buch was a perfect compliment. How much offense did buch create on his own when others were doing squat? He didn't. I love the guy and player but he was not a play driver

Sure, he's tough and has a mean streak. He's also been injury prone and a bit of a loose cannon on the ice.
As long as he can keep the silly stuff to a minimum he's a good add to this group. Buchnevich is worth more than what he got, but I like the idea of adding a player like Blais to this group. He's got a little Sean Avery in him, and trended for about 35 points over a full 82 last season.
