Earlier today I saw a tweet that said Cam Newton would be signing with Bishop Sycamore, which after a bit of research led me to this--I know it's not an NFL story, but ESPN got tricked into airing a game involving a fake high school team. Are they going to produce a 30 for 30 on this?

It's an online school (at least that's what I read yesterday). ESPN found lots of red flags but aired the game anyway.

Yeah id say so. The jets have always been a joke. Mara's arrogance brought the Giants from a marquee franchise to a laughing stock in the span of 5 years.

All roads lead to Mara at this point, agreed. The only reason to explain how Gettleman is still employed is that it makes Mara comfortable. It can't be related to his performance.

The last title a decade ago still had Accorsi's mark all over the roster...Eli, Snee, Tuck, Jacobs, Diehl, Kiwi, McKenzie were all drafted or brought in by Accorsi. John Mara didn't hire Accorsi.

I realized Mara was the problem when he fired Coughlin and not Reese.
Follow that up with Darth McAdoo and his ego meltdown in year 2. Shurmur was an unmitigated disaster and had zero track record of success prior to NYG. Gettleman has one of the worst reputations around the league even since Carolina and is almost universally despised amongst players.
I like Joe Judge but he can only coach what Mara and Gettleman give him, which has been absolutely nothing.
And this whole "holier than thou" thing the Giants organization does is completely moronic. Passing on players because they smoked weed or got arrested. When your an organization in the dumpster, you don't have the luxury to pass on talent. Why release DeAndre Baker? The second he was cut he went and signed with the Chiefs!
Like it's the NFL. The rest of the league doesn't give a quarter of a f*** about player's personal lives. true monsters like Kareem Hunt and Tyreke Hill still have jobs and contribute immensely to their teams success. Even the scumbag Michael Vick got a second chance... and the Giants would never be the team to give these guys a second chance. Why hamstring yourself with these bullshit morals when you're already in the dumpster????

Jets should be super active on the waiver wire tomorrow, have to get at least one TE, hopefully a corner or two, maybe a safety.

Some decent TE options hit the wire too. Hollister is one of them, former Seahawk, was cut by the Bills. Richard Rogers was a late cut by the Eagles since they have not moved out Ertz. Either of those two with Kroft would be decent.

I don't know if they will makes moves at corner. Do they want to take snaps away from one of these young guys? Maybe add one veteran, but not much more than that.

Good call on CB, no addition, they actually released Bless Austin? That seems weird.

Secondary is going to absolutely stink. They probably should take two corners at least with two of their first 4 picks in the first two rounds next season.

Didn't think they would cut Bless Austin either, but it could be a scheme thing. The defense isn't the same as it was in the past few years. New system and new style of defense, so he might not fit into that. Oddly enough, Hall is another guy that is similar in that he has size and is a press guy, but maybe he has more ball coverage skills. He was a highly thought of prospect before tearing his knee in college.

They went defense heavy late in the draft, and usually those guys don't see the field as much initially, but something tells me that won't be the case here. Echols, Nasirlideen, Sherwood, Carter II, and Pinnock are going to get reps. Dunn was an UDFA, but they gave him a bunch of money, so he might get reps as well too.

My brother thinks the Giants are going 11-6 and I think they're going 4-13.
Normally I'm the optimist but this team is still horrible in the trenches.

And they'll probably wind up somewhere in the middle. 7-9 would be my bet. Hopefully good enough to show some promise, but I'm expecting them to be bad enough to prove that Getty needs to go. I also don't see Jones as the long term answer at QB.

I can’t see the Giants being terrible with that division. They’ll be in it. Outside of Philly, I think anyone can win it. Will depend on injuries, Covid, etc.

I think that anemic offense turns around in a big way with a legit gunslinger QB. Their skill position options are very good as well. I think they win the division easily, but who knows.

The double standard is amazing. I don't disagree with you, but this is the same fanbase where the majority tarred and feathered ADA. He didn't commit a crime. He didn't assault a woman, a child, or torture animals. Yet, here we are. Quinnen Williams went to the airport with an illegal gun (this seemed more like stupidity, but he still brought a gun - unregistered in NY - to an airport), a Jet (name escapes me) drove the wrong way through a city tunnel drunk, Robby Anderson fought the police a couple of times, Sheldon Robertson had a few incidents - I remember a police pursuit with no lights on, and drugs I believe. They were all welcomed with open arms and are either still on the team or went on to sign contracts elsewhere.
