When I watch Matt Rempe, I wonder why we drafted him.

Its easy, we want to duplicate all other teams in the NHL that have had such tremendous success with their forwards 6’6 or bigger. The NHL is full of them. :sarcasm:

Any word on how Brody Lamb looks? Got to think this is a massive step up for him and might be a little over his head here. But just curious, havent seen much posted on him from camp

Let's sign Chara and go for the tallest team in the league with Rempe and Ollas.

So Lamb can attend this season, because, for now he is USHL Junior hockey player, but in Fall'23, when enrolled as Gopher, he could attend July Dev camp, but not Fall rookie camp (presuming schedules revert to typical)
.. as w Fogarty, Hughes prior

The FO loves him. I’ve heard loads about him this off-season from people connected, which is weird for obvious reasons. They will try and make something of him based around his size.
Yeah I just don't get it. It's one thing when it's a guy like Gettinger or Rueschhoff who has some skill, and who actually use their size effectively. But when it's just a big dude whose only positive attribute is being big, I don't know. Maybe he'll end up making me look stupid.

It's a mature save. There's no panic. In an instant, he processes the puck is loose, where it's going, and pushes across quickly. Pretty much as the scouting reports advertised with fast, precise movements and no scramble.

From some of the interviews and that profiles I read, he has a very professional demeanor. I liked (and like) the pick. No idea about his ceiling, but he has a lot of great tools combined with a crazy work ethic.

Underrated prospect. He has a good game. Dom Moore upside in my opinion, not as much offense but same style of game.
I see Glendening. Would be amazing if he could take faceoffs like him but even then Glendening is still the ideal 4C type. I really liked Richards in his one game and have high hopes for him.
Televised?

His head on Georgiev’s body probably makes an elite goalie.

It's almost robotic.

I really don't mind the idea of taking a big guy who can take 5-6 years to develop, specifically where the team is in terms of their glut of players pushing for spots.

In saying that, we look at a guy like Justin Richards who played well in his short stint with the NHL club but also played pretty well in the AHL. He is the same age as Tim Gettinger who has done nothing but improve down in the AHL and at 23, could fill a spot on a 4th line somewhere. He's also a pretty adept PKer.
