It was awesome! I'd made up my mind that we were going to lose and I went crazy.I was quite drunk when that Eberle goal went down, went through the roof.
Sweet memories.

This was supposed to be Germany’s year. Now they have a mere skeleton crew for two killer matchups and have had almost zero practice time. Man, 2020 came hard for Germany!I'm personally more excited to watch USA VS Russia tonight than Canada VS Germany tomorrow
Glad the world juniors are back. You get some of the most exciting hockey of the year.
Go Canada go.
Maybe something like McMichael - Cozens - Tomasino then. But putting our 3 best goal-scorers on the same line isn't a great move IMO.I like Mc on the top line, he creates plays, Cozens needs a guy like that IMO.
I agree. I would never make such claims. He was, like I said. But to claim he is "so poor" defensively based on one game is outlandish.
What is this based on, I didn't think they were on the ice yesterday or today. One change I would make is to put Schneider with Guhle and use them as the shut down pair. Move Barron with Harley. I do not trust Harley defensively and would not hesitate to put Korczak in there. I thought Korczak did well in limited minutes vs Russia.
The top line without Dach is no longer the top line imo .. This squad can improve on Quinn on the LW and there are a number of players that can play RW. I am not a fan of using 3 Right hand shots on one line like we had with Quinn Cozens and Dach.. We have a few Cs playing wing . I would want the option to have a C on his strong side take the draw. Maybe move Suzuki up on that line instead of Dach. I would leave Byfield where he was last game .. I think that line was good .. and brought energy. I think Byfield uses his raw physical tools more than his brain at this point in his development. Not trying to be critical. Last game the energy line style suited him . If we want Cozens as the #1C and "the guy" we need to give him 2 high end players on the wing. I think we do that and we rob from peter to pay paul.
I liked all the lines last game and would keep the changes to a minimum personally.
EDIT: Welp ..I guess they don't listen to me lol

hmmm I like that shutdown line. McMichael line unchanged. I think Byfield will miss Zary.

At the WJC? I really wouldn't agree with that.I agree. I would never make such claims.
I do recall he was poor defensively last year as well, but again, small sampling.

Pelletier - Byfield - Mercer .. I like this one betterQuinn-Byfield-Pelletier could be an interesting line that could dominate.
I really like shifting Cozens back to the wing. Let him use his speed to burn defenders on the outside.
This is what I think we’ll see:
McMichael - Cozens - Quinn
Perfetti - Krebs - Tomasino
Holloway - Newhook - Pelletier
Zary - Byfield - Mercer
Suzuki
You called Quinn dropping. Unless he has someone else taking care of entries and puck distribution not sure Quinn can drive a line at all.Pelletier - Byfield - Mercer .. I like this one better
