Definition of rhyme.......Correspondence of sound between words or the endings of words, especially when these are used at the ends of lines of poetry.

If you are from the school of "sounds the same" then, yes, they also sound the same. Do they sound "identical"? No.

I can. I am a Kitchener Ranger fan from the OHL. One of our defencemen is called Arber Xhekaj. Try getting a rhyme for that one! LOL!

This was going to be my argument even if people pronounce them slightly different. Interestingly, the link that was posted listing examples of the word “walk“ being spoken had British speakers saying the word (at least in the three I looked at). They definitely pronounce the L as they draw out the sound a little more.

C’mon, British people! Learn to speak English! :laugh:

It doesn't just happen it is always happening.

Vowel sounds are fluid. Not only do different parts of countries pronounce things different, individuals will pronounce things differently across time and in different circumstances.

Perhaps my saying something regarding him will bring him out. Last year when he ducked out (as he always does if the U.S bows out) and I mentioned that the next thing I know I get a notification that he has begun to "follow me" lol.

What I don't understand ( well actually I think I do understand) is why he is allowed to carry on each year with complete immunity with what he does, because I have even made a point of watching to see if his obvious trolling posts get removed and I have not come across once where they were.

What does that tell you? I know what it tells me.

Made the best of the situation TBH. Those are all good matchups in their own way.

Glad we’re playing Russia in the pretournament, need a game against our biggest rival going into this.

I’m glad that’s the match-up, we need tough competition early on. Russia has a very strong team and the best goaltender, I suspect we’ll see them for Gold.

Sucks we have to wait a few more days, but such is the times we’re living in.
