It's anyone's guess, really. My sense of things is that you'll see Cozens, Dach and McMichael with one other forward (Quinn perhaps?) as Canada likes the 4 forward set. Lots of options for that fourth guy. Byram would be running the point. They do have TWO good offensive point men so maybe we'll see Byram and Drysdale together, though I think it make sense to hold one of them back for the second unit.

With so much depth on this roster, don't expect the first unit to get significantly higher minutes than the second unit like you might see with some other countries.

Canada makes some interesting decisions sometimes with the D-man on the PP. Mete received the overwhelming majority of PP time over Cale Makar a few years ago.

Wouldn't Harley be on the first PP unit? He is an offensive defenseman.
In the first two games of the Red - White scrimmage that I saw, I thought he was team White's worst defenseman. I am thinking he made the team based on his offensive skill.

I'd be shocked to see Harley there over Drysdale or Byram.

It doesn't actually track stats but The Score app will have boxscores, usually elite prospects have the full tournament stats as well.

Not on this video, but does anyone else notice when Mark Masters does Zoom interviews and the player he's interviewing says something funny, Mark leans back with a silent Roar of laughter. It is so awkward. I guess you don't want to laugh because it will cut the other person's voice off, but why do you have to do such an emphatic laugh, yet well making no noise?
Maybe he does this all the time and I just don't notice because I don't watch Leafs coverage.

This was from the camps so it's possibly still way up in their air but I wouldn't be shocked to see something close to the 1st group for white as PP 1 and the 1st group for Red as PP 2 with perhaps Drysdale on PP 2. Suzuki on PP 1 would surprise me but who knows.

I know the forum guys from other countries go off when we get too full of ourselves, but nevertheless... I can’t go up and down that lineup without seeing it as hockey’s equivalent of murderer’ row. That fourth line has a guy that scored 52 last year , a guy that had a points/game of 1.58, and a guy that had a points/game of 1.61. That’s the FOURTH LINE!

Yes, but hockey at this level has always been about systems and plugging the right skill set into the right spot. Mario Lemieux on the 4th line sound sweet, but he’s not a bottom 6 guy or skill set.

They probably want Cozens speed down the middle.
Also Cozens and Quinn are natural shooters/snipers while Dach is a great passer. Having him at RW allows him to feed right handed shots Cozens and Quinn for one timers.

I thought the same thing. I wouldn’t move Cozens to the wing, I just expected both of them to be at centre.

Obviously they think that Dach is more adaptable to playing on the wing than Cozens and they want to load up on their first line. It still seems a bit weird that such an integral part to the team is playing out of position.
