Finding Nemo or Toy Story 2...."and how do you sell an arms race when the only asshole you got to run against is yourself?" (name the movie I stole that line from and win extra points...
Likewise, win or lose it's always a highlight of the year.Enjoy this year's WJCs!

There are no teams with cuts to make. I am pretty sure every team had to go into the bubble with their locked in 25 man roster.Interesting to see that Canada not only has the largest, but also the oldest WJHC team this year. Obviously we're talking about pretty small margins in a tourney like this, but I think it's notable considering just how young our team was last year.
This may change slightly as other teams make additional roster cuts, but the chart below is from EliteProspects:

Canada is playing Sweden and Russia next week I think. Monday and Wednesday.Anyone know if there is any pre-tourney games?
Some of these teams are not yet down to 25 players (Slovakia with 30, Switzerland & Czech with 28, Austria with 27).There are no teams with cuts to make. I am pretty sure every team had to go into the bubble with their locked in 25 man roster.

Some of these teams (Slovakia for sure) are going into the bubble with excess players and making cuts there.
Precisely. Thanks! Each team was allowed to bring 40 total people into the bubble on Dec 13th. Most, including Canada, went with 25 players and 15 support staff. A team can choose to enter the bubble with, for example 28 players and 12 support staff, but they will still have to cut down to 25 players before tournament starts and then still only have 12 support staff because the bubble is closed.
Poehling suddenly got a lot of talk about his newfound offensive potential, and on this website and others absolutely shot up prospect rankings.
Wasn't it 3?That had more to do with him scoring 4 goals in his nhl debut

Anyone know if there's a link?Canada is playing Sweden and Russia next week I think. Monday and Wednesday.
They’ll be on TSN which means they’ll be where...TSN is usually found.Anyone know if there's a link?

Zegras may well be the best player in his draft. He was highly rated before the WJC. He should be more valuable than any of the players mentioned. That being said we know what Zegras can do. It would be nice if they spent time on the lesser known players - drafted or 2021 eligible.Zegras already has gotten the universal overrating treatment after last WJC, following in the footsteps as such stars as Poehling, Mittelstadt, Keller, and Milano.
I wonder if this will be the year where we see it happen to the same guy twice.
Let's not talk about U.S. players.Zegras may well be the best player in his draft. He was highly rated before the WJC. He should be more valuable than any of the players mentioned. Hope you're right. This Canada team is gonna run roughshod over this tourney.
Amen, brother. Hope / Pray it's a go.Gold Canada Gold!!!
Let’s go. Can’t believe we got hockey games in less than a week. Best tournament on the hockey calendar.
