If you look at their point totals only then sure the top 3 are all even based on that. But if you actually watched the games, Dach is ahead of the other two based on the whole picture.It wasn't even remotely close before they were drafted. Dach was even a surprise at #3.
All three had average at best rookie seasons and its going to take more than a good play in series to make Dach the best forward from the draft, even right now.
He was sound defensively which meant he got more responsibility as the year went, and absolutely physical which was something the Hawks desperately needed.
Hughes and Kakko were two of the worst players defensively in the league last year. So Dach is way ahead of them in that regard, and there’s some of us who believe he could even be a Selke contender in the future, that’s how well he played.
