I give you two credit for still watching this mess. I turned the channel after the 5th goal. One of the weakest lineups the Comets have put on the ice this season in a meaningless game for them but a game that means everything for the Amerks with predictable results. Now it's up to Toronto to find out if the Marlies or the Amerks get into the play in round.

Safe to say the Rochester Americans will make the playoffs with tonight's win.

My ex-hometown boys in Rochester will get a chance to earn a semifinal match-up with my second hometown boys in Utica. Will have to get past their play-in round first. They definitely have a good offense and will get more of it from Buffalo to form a very strong team on paper.

Great commercial on the AHL TV feed. The Distillery is a bar that has been renovated into a very upscale tavern and eatery. It was formerly a neighborhood, not so classy bar, the Highland Inn. It was located across the street from a large neighborhood supermarket, the Star Market. My home was on a little narrow street lined with single bungalows that ended at a dead end at the Star Market parking lot.

As to the Providence game tomorrow the Comets have played them 3 times this season and are currently 2-0-1. I'd venture to guess it will be 2-1-1 after tomorrow which we all know would actually 2-2.

Amerks had to win for a chance. They did.

However, if Toronto beats Belleville in Belleville tomorrow at 3 pm the Marlies will win out over Rochester for the 5th and final North Division spot.
