Utica not exactly offering any kind of defense against the Amerks attack. 3/4 of the way through the 1st.
SOG only 11-8 Rochester. Not like they are skating the Comets out of the building, but the Comets O leaves a lot to be desired.

Rochester wins the 1st 4-0.
Peterka, their top goal scorer, has 2 and Quinn,#2 for the Amerks, has 1 as does #4, Malone. 10 different Amerks have at least 1 point in the 1st.
I have to say that Daws did not inspire high hopes for the immediate future. He did not look good right from the get go.

Toronto, if you don't get in your loss to Laval last night cost you the playoffs. So, much for a battle of Ontario in the Play-in.

This patchwork Comets lineup tonight is not built to come back from 3 down let alone 6.
Shaya actualklly stated he believes the Comets can come back in this one.
He is the ultimate homer.

To add insult to injury McGrath takes a roughing penalty after the goal so the #4 PP goes back to work. It took them 30 seconds on the first PP back in the 1st period.

After tonight's debacle the Comets will jump on the bus for a 6-hr trip to Providence, MA for the season's finale with this same patchwork lineup.
If anyone is interested the Comets record for goals against in a single game is 10 surrendered in a 10-1 loss to the Syracuse Crunch on 12/28/2018.
