I see making the playoffs is an award in itself. What was I thinking?

Rochester scored the most goals because Peterka and Quinn were their number two and three in scoring them.

Their leader in Mersch had one more goal than they did. They also has two other rookies in Weisbach and Biro in their top ten (6 and 8).

Quinn did it in 25 and 20 fewer games than Peterka and Mersch.
Jesus, it was just a joke. Hurrah for these people and the things they did.

or maybe the award is named for the defenseman who played for the Clinton Comets in the 1960s. Hard to say.

Wasn't it Ian Anderson who sang "Reilly Walsh, my friend, don't you skate away uneasy, you poor young sot you see it's only Dineen"?

Roll call

The team had 12 forwards, six defensemen and two goaltenders at Thursday’s practice, which is standard for a game.

Dineen noted that the team would add players, just in case.

Tyce Thompson (undisclosed) practiced Thursday. Dineen noted the team is trying to be careful and he likely won’t play both games this weekend.

Forward Garrett Van Wyhe (undisclosed, out since April 16) skated after practice with Luke Stevens.

Van Wyhe is not expected to be an option this weekend, Dineen said.

Dineen said there is optimism Frederik Gauthier — who has missed the last nine games with a lower-body injury -- will begin skating next week.

Mitens didn’t participate Thursday and hasn’t played since April 16. He will be re-evaluated next week, Dineen said.

Well,I have laid the groundwork of how it could/should happen. It's all up to the Devils' thought process on what they want to do with him.

Thought Kasel would be recalled to backup Daws and Schmid. Wonder if the plan is to have Daws start both games and run with him as the playoffs starter until he has a bad game or multiple OTs before a B2B.

Interesting that Buffalo sent Fitzgerald down to Rochester today for a must win game against the Comets but they are keeping Krebs and Samuelsson in Buffalo for the Sabres final game of the season.

Rochester is going with 11 F / 7 D tonight.

AHL's 4th best PP goes to work. 36 seconds in and they score.

Shot on the ice and Daws gives up his usual rebound from on the ice shots. The rebouind is deposited behind him by Malone.
