Amerks are attempting to apply the pressure but the Comets have moved the puck quickly.

2 Amerks collide just across the blueline and that rush is done.

Schmelzer gave it away and the Amerks got a shot. That's what they want to do.

Gourley whiffs on a pass and the Amerks get it but more equal pressure gets it out. Utica into the Amerksa end and continue to apply pressure and they get shots and recover and keep it going. Great shift.

Comets best D is offense.

Daws stops his own giveaway.

Daws a big stop. Then Daws gives it away. The Comets bail him out.

Walsh puts it over the glass for the DoG penalty.

5 minutes are gone 3 on 2 for the Amerks and Daws a save. Walsh shoots it out of play and goes to the box. Bad penalty and no reason for it.

Comets PK standing still again. Daws a save and the big rebound is the Amerk's. Another Daws save and it's down the ice. Amerks work it around again. Daws a save off a screen shot.
Cleared down. Amerks back in.

Penalty is over, but the Comets have to work to clear it out.

2 slow passes through the crease and nobody from either team gets a stick on the puck.

Rochester getting everything they want to do now and the Comets just keep working to get it out.

Deleo a big shot on a pass form Greer who would have had a breakaway if he controlled the pass, but smartly skated it down and looked back and found Deleo.

Deleo another chance on a bouncing puck and it's out of play.

Just under 10 to go.

Deleo is a whirling dervish all over the ice making everything difficult for the Amerks.

If the kids want to know how hard you have to work, Deleo and Greer are painting a perfect picture.

Halonen falls down in the Amerks zone and they speed by him 4 on 3 into the zone and the shot deflects into the netting.

Comets learning to get it out and in deep. They have been very poor at it this season. Always forcing things and turning it over for breaks the other way.

Russo fails on a breakout try and there are 2 shots after until Holtz clears it out.

Providence has lost in regulation.

The Comets just need to make it to OT to clinch the Eastern Conference title and home ice through the first three rounds.

Daws a huge save and there's the penalty. Clarke for cross checking.

Schmelzer a great shot block on a cross ice pass.

Daws a save off a 1-timer.

Daws a save.

Amerks miss shoot. Comets flub the clear.

Daws a big stop and the rebound is roofed on a backhander in front.

2-2 with 1:07 to go

That flubbed clear left the original PK unit on the ice and they were gassed.

Let's kill the 1:07 that's left on the clock.

Lots of time going by as the officials make repairs to the ice at the Amerks blueline. Everyone getting a rest.
