Oh man I dont know how the Kings will do if their top line is loaded like that all game.

Wonder how the Kings deal with that

If the top line is loaded, Kings need to start the first two periods like they came to play. Bury every chance they get, no more missing open nets, and most importantly....as Tiger Woods said in the last Ryder Cup "step on their necks" in the 3rd period.
Yeah, Edmonton was dead until that short handed goal last game. No jump in their game, the crowd was completely out of it. Then a couple dumb moves gave them life.

I think it was a different thread but imo it's a smart strategy. Forcing Danault and Moore to outplay Draisaitl AND McDavid? I mean, they can have the game of their lives and might not stop McDavid.

it's basically forcing the other three lines to outscore the oilers by 2-3 and...that's a tall order.

In theory it frees Kopitar and Kempe up vs. RNH and Kane and the bottom six to do bottom six things, now would be a good time for our finishing to kick in.

Yeah the bottom 6 needs to be insane today to win this game I believe. Whoever is matching against their top line is going to be losing I think just because they can’t win against that firepower. The other lines need to be huge tonight. It’s a smart strategy for sure

I don't think you change a single thing.....they are the ones on the ropes, they are the ones that have to adjust....if they put both weapons on the ice and pray to god to score 5 goals, so be it, its what they did last game and we see how that worked out.

According to Oilers fans he might be sick or have monthly cramps.
He definitely is sick. Watching his post game interview he looked sick as f***. That’s great hope he’s a little more sick today. The less effective he is the better.

He sounded congested, coughing, and had a runny nose. actually a real good positive for us

It could be that he has the sniffles but I'm not convinced he's all that sick. He wouldn't be doing post game press conferences if the team thought he was really sick.

And you know they're going for this after the showing of special teams in the last game

I fully expect them to play as rough/dirty as possible becasue we have literally no answer

i mean at this point for this series i'd put out two dmen for the PP and basically treat it like 5v5 once in the ozone
Seriously, they should just start a cycle on the PP

If we can come out tie or better going into the third, with Edmonton riding McDavid and Draisaitl's back the first two periods, we have a solid chance to close this out.

Probably the same way the Kings dealt with it in the Game 5 OT.

Cycle around the O Zone until those two get tired and they'll either have to change or they'll be too tired to defend the next line over the boards.

Man, I am really hoping the Kings send the Oilers packing tonight. Love to hear Macdavid cry about being booted out of the playoffs.

Is that Sutter putting his hand on Kopitar's shoulder in that gif? I never noticed that.

Leon has not shown much that makes me nervous 5 on 5
he's really dangerous from one side on the PP (just like Ovi is) but thats about it. he's a liability on defense and garbo 5 on 5. with that being said... ALL of the pressure is on them tonight. if the Kings play like they have the last two games they should be ok. I reaaaaally hope no one gets injured tonight
