When was the last time a GM/AGM had their son on the team?

Bob Gainey was the GM Of Dallas and drafted his son Steve.

Lester Patrick was the GM of the NYR when they won the cup in 1940. His two sons played on that team.

Darryl Sutter was GM of Calgary when Brett played there.

Steve Tambellini was AGM of Vancouver when Jeff played tehre.

So yes, 1st round pick for him. Which is about right for any UFA rental.

You know you can trade for Granlund without Ceci right? Or you weren't able to think of that?

Be a playmaker and more skilled doesn't mean he was perfect target especially in a forechecking system. Nylander will be better with someone who will keep thing simple, work harder, rush the net and bring back puck on his stick than a playmaker who will play a bit more on peripheric.

For me Granlund was a pretty bad fit in Toronto
