Just caught up…

Great performance. A huge learning experience for the kids also. They now know what it takes to win in the play-offs and understand how the hockey goes to another level. Byfield in particular has always shown that he needs a few games at each new level but absorbs it… he will have gained a huge amount from last night. Good that he got a few looks on the pp, I fully acknowledge the mistakes but I’d expect them. He won’t be the only player to get his pocket picked by McDavid but I doubt it happens again. Spence really impressed me and as for Quick…. Wow.

I have nothing to add on Moore or Danault. Great performance but they cannot maintain that distribution of minutes. If we keep this series 5/5 we will win, I’ve said for weeks this was the matchup I wanted so we will see. Whatever happens they needs to keep the kids in the lineup as they will gain so much from a development standpoint.

Great to see them step up physically and get in some faces collectively. Needed and they have to keep it up!

Interesting that the 2 guys that moaned throughout about everything, especially Byfield, went quiet after the win. I’m sure they want the Kings to win but seem unable to enjoy anything
