this season is a success, i am accepting kicks in the nuts until midnight at which point i will revert to bitching about playing time and teenagers and the PP and
I share all of your concerns about ice time.

But damnit, the team has clearly bought in to coaches system and it grinded them to 99 points and a big win here tonight. I just feel like the Kings are playing with house money at this point. We have no idea which guys are "playoff players" yet which will be exciting to discover.

And this Edmonton team is nowhere close to the real contenders this season in my modest opinion.

Hope to not eat all those words.

I get Lubo vibes from that kid.

He looks like he's about 11 years old in the bench but plays like a man on the ice.

The other good thing about getting to smith like that is that he'll undoubtedly be more gun shy about it from now on, which changes his game.

One of those last two games vs. Edmonton he just comletely neutralized the Kings forecheck himself by playing the puck, won't be seeing that this series!

Yeah, that puck play is what takes him from an average goalie up to a good one. Neuter that and he starts sitting deep and gets beat.
