Where is Bucky Cheds when you need him?

Consistently the worst first period team in the league. Dead last in first period GF, can't imagine we're far behind in GA. How does a team packed full of young players constantly come out flat? It's gotta be a coaching thing.

If you can't make adjustments as the game goes on (and we know Todd struggles with this), you better at least have a solid initial game plan, and I would say it's clear they don't most nights.

When the Kings coaching staff sees the Avs have two shooters setup on the PP, one on each circle, what do they think? Have they ever thought "Hey, maybe we should try that?!"

Arvidssson and Kempe both have wicked shots. One is a left shot, one is a right shot. They're the teams best goal scorers. Why not try it with them?

Imagine if you knew the Kings defense down the stretch would be Durzi, Roy, Stecher, spence, Edler and Matta, you;d have though the Kings were going to be in the Shane Wright sweepstakes.
That's quite a corp...makes me miss Ben Hutton.

This game means a lot if you were planning on Petersen playing any of the remaining games.

He's been a crapshow all year. If not the biggest disappointment, he's up there. I haven't witnessed every minute he's played, but there hasn't been once where he made a save where he looked like he knew he was going to make it.

If only we had drafted a guy who was known for his one timer.

Seriously I've said it before, ALL I ever saw Kaliyev do in juniors was blast his one timer Ovi style to the roof of the net from his off side. WHY DO THEY CONSISTENTLY PLAY HIM LW and not on the power play. Last time I said this they put him there and he blasted one, everyone thought the PP was saved and he was never seen again on the right. He is an immense talent with the puck on his stick but he gets sent out there to try and retreive pucks out of scrums and off the boards

I hate that the injuries excuse gives everyone a free pass to f*** right off the santa monica pier, I don't count on really anything changing before next year now, I don't mind blackholing for a year but something has to change to ensure it doesn't happen again

And it doesn't even necessarily have to be a big trade, the PP not sucking absolute balls would have been good for points in the standings, feed Kaliyev some one timers, get Kopitar off the half wall, there's a LOT of tactical edits that can happen but TM CANNOT ADJUST. I always thought that was OVERsold but if anything it's been UNDERsold, it's like the guy is paralyzed in fear on his own bench.

While that completely sucked, I'll give the Kings a little bit of an excuse. The Avs were rested and the Kings played the night before and didn't get in until 2am. Yeah, they're professionals, but if I stay up till 2am, my day is wiped. Could have been 6-4 instead of 9-3.

I know some on here complain when teams goon it up when down, but I wish I'd see that with the Kings. Unfortunately, Lizotte and Durzi can't take on everyone,

Dude. Everyone has said this. It’s only our coaches and a couple of their resident ball garglers around here who are too dumb to see it.

LOL Kaliyev has a very good shot....and is a good shooter....but if you think standing by getting fed one timers is WHY he's a good shooter, you haven't been paying attention, Juniors means f***all at this point.... Kaliyev again, while being good, does not have a shot like Ovechkin or McKinnon.....his strength isn't his one timer, it's his release.....and there is no disguising a release on a one timer that everyone in the world knows is coming, that's not his strength.

I keep hearing excuse after excuse from the resident Kaliyev ball garglers around here….whether it’s that he needs to be on the first line (which he has been for two games with no goals) or it’s that he has to be stationed on the right side for a one timer….no one can just say that he’s doing fine and will get better with experience…weird.

Colorado is just far beyond the Kings. They added some nice pieces around the deadline to round it all out. LA Kings will be lucky to be 1st round fodder.

And here they are.

“Juniors means nothing at this point, might as well put Kaliyev in net!”

Yep, that's what I said......f***ing idiots in here, think scoring in Juniors equates to scoring in the NHL......I mean f*** you only have what, 80 f***ing years of disproving that asinine theory....but yea....let's keep at it.

Again, his shot is strength because of his release.....which has f***all to do with one timers on the powerplay....if you really think he has a shot like Ovechkin where Ovechkin can overpower goaltenders even when they know its coming.....I don't know what to tell you, you haven't been paying attention, or you truly don't know what the f*** you are talking about......at this point, I really have no idea which....

Tell me, again, how many goals has Kaliyev scored from his slapshot, in the NHL.....shit when's the last time you saw him attempt one, if it was such a strength as you make it out to be, don't you think they would be attempting it more?
