If you’re consistently alone in your opinion it means no one cares about them.
He’s not wrong though. You don’t automatically put the best 3 forwards on line 1, so you balance the lineup based on the best overall results. At this point putting AI on a different line probably means we have two broken lines instead of one. Now the minutes of said lines is a different discussion.

Quite simply we need AI and Kopi need to play better, if we want to do anything in the play-offs we need them to be better regardless of where they play.

Another thing, and pretty much every goal last night except Ceci's,

Every single player, caught puck watching, absolutely infuriating, they are all watching the puck, how the hell does Draisatl end up alone on the side of the net.....just brutal.

TMc doesn't like Lias or Grundstrom for whatever reason and will look for any reason (Brown and AA coming back) to send those guys to the press box or Ontario. For some reason, he didn't like Arty last night either. He should've been rewarding Arty and Grundstrom last night for helping get that point. Instead, he benched them. TMc's ice time management is right in line with the disaster that is Willie Desjardins. And I'll say it again, Kopi played the least amount of minutes as a King under Sutter and that was prime Kopitar. This current team isn't Sutter era deep, but it's certainly deeper than when Willie was coach.

No one said to put the best three forwards together. The Kings top six are all 40-70 point scorers. There aren’t any McDavids or Drai’s being spread around.

If the argument was to explain why Iafallo should be less accountable for not performing up to his role expectations for 20+ games, I’m interested. Saying no one truly knows why because they are just fans is a way to shut down conversations. And it’s done by someone who mostly resorts to insults to make their boring “points”.

It may not meet the definition of trolling but it’s closer to that than something worth thinking about.

Not trying to shut down any conversation, but you have to recognize what you don't know, before you can have an honest conversation.

Iafallo should be 100% accountable for his perfomance 100% of the time, he had a meh game, he's been having meh games, he has moments in games where it seems he rediscovered his game, and then, it kinda fizzles out.

Let me ask you this, is Iafallo nursing an injury?

I haven’t seen or heard anything to suggest that an injury is impacting his performance. It’s pure speculation. Not sure how that fits into an honest conversation.

And we know Iafallo is goalless in 20 games while getting paid over $4M. Those are facts. Calling it meh while speculating about baseless injuries isn’t having an honest conversation.

The only conversation I got from your posts is that Kings fans who want more ice time for a guy like Kaliyev over Iafallo are a full of hysterical opinions who don’t know everything. It’s a classic strawman.

McDavid is soo damn good but man when did stiff arming become legal in the NHL?
On the dissalowed goal how was he not holding Durzi's stick? Practically through it.
He drapes himself all of over guys and when it doesn't work the edmonton crowd boos the refs. The Atlhetic should take a vote among refs and get a list of which venues have the most frustrating fans. As someone who used to live in edmonton and went to a lot of coiler games I think they have to be near the top. They rest on the Laurels of the 80s, a team that was only good because they were allowed to combine two teams into one (racers meet oilers)

f*** the oilers. I hope the kings are healthy in time for the playoffs and steam roll these turds. Although I know the narrative will be the refs f***ed over edmonton.

Iafallo is what he is he is IMO, and that is a great shut down winger. LA is lucky to have him but he needs to be slotted correctly which to me is either on the third line, or with Danault to create a mage shut down line to match up come playoff time.
Need Danault's producing though, but long term that will be 2/3 of our third line I hope.

Like I said, you couldn't articulate my point,

We know Iafallo is goalless in 20 games, WTF do we care what he is getting paid, but we are still in 2nd even with subpar play from Iafallo, who is still 6th in scoring, and is on course for his average career....

And yet people are having meltdowns over it.....that I don't get.

Does Kaliyev deserve more ice time, 100%, should we what, shoot him 20 minutes a game now?

Funny thing is, he isn't wrong....

One could have a helluva night.....and not end up on the score sheet

Anyone think Kane had a non-productive night for Edmonton? Anyone?
Yah, but if Todd doesn't call out specific players and announce to the media that they are playing like dogshit, then we must tell him to f*** OFF.

Like you said on an earlier post, 99.9% of us have no clue what the inner workings are to be a head coach. I won't get into all that, but TM has 13 more games to worry about...and how to keep this team going well enough to secure a playoff spot despite all of the injuries.

I think it is fair to question Iafallo's usage. When LA had no better options I was ok with him getting the PP and top line minutes. Now that some of the kids are showing they worth offensively I would like to see them given the chance. Not cutting Iafallo minutes as I a still think he is a great PKer and a really good LW, but time to switch that up..it is stale as shit.

Didn't he slot in with Danault, and it just did not work at all?

Iafallo is what he is, doing what he's always done, 40 point player shuts down opposing teams players, but f*** all if we can't enjoy nearly beating Edmonton with #4,5,6,7,8,9,10 D playing....and missing two firecracker players in Lizotte and Lemieux....

Like I said, reading this thread, one would think Edmonton just caved LA in.

speaking of 13 more games...i also though the ice time usage was interesting given back to back. Lias is likely in tonight because if the back to back and to get fresh legs.

Exactly. You know what I got from that game? two things, 1) nice bounce back from that horrible outing vs SEA, 2) I think if we play EDM in first round, we can beat them.

They did, remember, they put him on the 3rd line.....

At what point do you cut the leg off a players and not allow him to play his way out of a slump? Because if you do that, you don't have that player anymore, he's pretty much dead to you....

I think the frustration you are reading and a lot are feeling is because although last night's comeback was impressive because of the injuries, and this team is supposed to be a step behind Edmonton when it comes to development, a lot of people wonder where the team could be and what last night would have looked like with different player usage. I think it is fair to call out the coach for keeping the top line together when they are not only not producing, but have been breaking down defensively too.

you are right, going into last night I would have been thrilled with one point. Just the flow of that game frustrated me, and i really do question the usgae.

For instance why the hell was Kupari not used in OT, he looked so lethal for a lot of the game. Was flying and I would have loved to see what he could have done at 3 on 3.

Didn't even realize it was back to back, yea, I would see Lias in, Moveare or Edler out.....CGY plays a much different game than EDM, Moveare was getting used and abused against the speed, he should fare better against the more physical CGY.

I would have loved to see it as well, but again, what he is doing, has been working,

Everyone just assumes that better usage, or different usage, would automatically be an improvement, and it doesn't work like that.....just like some goaltenders thrive on 30+ shots a game, some players thrive on high usage.....

I think the frustration is, we all these shiny new toys, and we want to see them ASAP and be damned everything else that goes on.....be damned that we throw them out there and they lose confidence, yay we get to see them, Kupari is head and tails a different player from when this year started to now, and he went down to find that confidence etc.

Another point, Byfield and company would have absolutely been destroyed, by McDavid and Draisatl, I mean shit, Danault was, and Kopitar was,

McDavid was absolutely on his game last night.......not a player in the league, would have stopped him last night.
