So was Robitaille and Toffoli and a host of other great players. Footspeed or lack thereof doesn't necessarily hamper you.

And he burned Ovi in the process. Ovi was just watching him skate by and score. Had the best view of the goal.

Tmac was really hot after the game, at some of the bs calls and I think the head hunter Ellars or whoever shot at Kopi after the horn. Kopi was like , wtf dude, and just stared at him from inside the blueline. He made no attempt to get it on net .

The Caps were Cindy-Lou Hoo and the Kings were the Grinch. It took a while but the Kings found their heart and it grew 3 sizes during the second half of the game.

It was a good road trip. Only the Carolina game was really ugly.

Carolina is kind of like playing at Buffalo, Kings just do not play well in either place. Maybe the night life is better than I thought in Buffalo and Raleigh, and the guys just don't get much rest prior to the games

They were better off then Carolina. Even after the refs gave the Caps 7 chances on the pp and then the bs icing at the end, we still found a way to win. It was a gutsy effort and Sparks was great. Loved his post game interview, so honest.

Yeah I didn't double check but someone mentioned it was the same reffing crew as the CAR game which makes a lot of sense.

They really, really did not like the Kings and it was the most biased I've seen two games all year. Completely different rulebook for both teams. The Lemieux effect, maybe?

I would argue Robitaille was in a faster NHL or something equivalent. Up until the mid 2000s the NHL was run and gun.
