Kempe reminds me of frolov. Lots of talent, not a lot of effort…

Frolov was a terrific forechecker and the single best board player the team had since Taylor, even to this day. He was an elite defensive winger. He was an extremely hard worker in all of the difficult areas and routinely put up good numbers in the dead puck era. He put up 50+ points in every season here.

Yea, Kempes the issue. He put up 2 shots and 3 hits and didn’t take a minus. Danault didn’t get a shot on goal. Kopitar, Iafallo, Arvidsson, Kempe and Grundstrom showed up. No other forward did.

Gabe Vilardi has to decide to assert himself, the game isn't simply going to present itself to him.

Clearly there is a book out there that you can slap the Kings in the face, take their lunch money, make sweet, sweet love to their wives, gain their dogs affections, and spend 90 minutes of every 60 minute game in their crease without so much as a "uh, excuse me?".
