it's unbelievable how people view data

We have the majority of our players that are pointless as well btw, so can you factor that in, in your analysis? Does it matter if Kopitar ends up with 100pts this season if everyone else can't crack 10pts?

It reminds me of a video game, where some stronger weapons cover more slots and thus less spots for other weapons. No idea why Kopitar needs to come with his own little pokemon, but fine, we drank the kool-aid and this is now our beliefs. A player is only as good as whatever task he can delegate to his 3rdC.

The reason why Kopitar / Carter / Richards were good at scoring had little to do with any Guy Carbonneau type player in the lineup and more to do with the fact that they are players capable of scoring lol

So Anze Kopitar (now comes with Danault) for Kopitar to be productive, this covers two slots to get our #1C going, but what will propel our #2C to produce? what will propel our #3C to produce? what will propel our #4C to produce? what will propel our #2RW #2LW #3RW #3LW #4RW #4LW?

Should we go get little danos for all them?

None of these guys are natural scorers: Iafallo, Kempe, Brown, Lemieux, Moore, Lizotte, Tkachev, Grundstrom, etc... and it's DANO! that we were urged to add, overpriced at $5.5m to boot!

This team is literally a veteran stay at home D and a couple of goons away from being Dean Lombardi 2.0.

Only issue, is our coach is garbage.

Might as well get Sutter, he knows how to win 2-1 games (with C. Petersen) at least

This is some serious mental gynmmnastics. It sucks that Byfield is out because he's supposed to propel your #2C to produce. Danault has been a more than adequate middle six producer historically, so he propels your #3C to produce.

Sometimes all it takes is an unheralded diamond in the rough to jumpstart production. Last year Florida added Gustav Forsling off of waivers and he's been an offensive blessing. A few years ago Pittsburgh acquired Justin Schultz and somehow they went from not-in-a-playoff-spot to b2b cup winners. Plenty of stories along those lines, the common theme being offensive-minded defensemen with mobility and tight gaps. Forwards don't score 3v5 in this league.
