As I said before the draft that year the DEL is not a good yard stick for how well or how quickly a players game will translate to the NHL and that the ‘he plays with men’ mantra was being weighted too heavily. As I said then, it is not that he won’t be a very good player just that playing in the DEL didn’t make him ready to go.

I got plenty of grief for that, almost as if I hadn’t watched the DEL…

I think these next 3 games we really find out what the Kings are. We seen them play well, we've seen them play bad.

The recent losses have left them little room for error.

Yeah, it kind of weird we've only played I think 1 division game so far. If we play up to our competition, we should be fine. Our problem has been playing down to the lower teams. When Kaliev missed the wide open net on the 4 on 3 pp, I thought for sure we'd be seeing another ARZ type game, which it almost was.

I still can't see where the supposed bite was. All I see is BK smashing his hand/fist into his face shield. The cut he showed to everyone look like it was from that, not a lacerated bite. Bites have a radius, and are not straight. I know, I have been bitten twice.

If he was bitten, even if there was only one tooth that broke the skin a substantial bite mark would be visible. I’d imagine the referees could see that and I would certainly have expected someone to have photographed the injury as evidence. The marks won’t have disappeared in a few minutes.

I'm glad someone pointed this out, like when he was battling Kopi a few times behind the net. AK just pushed him off the puck, tried to re-engage, but had no answer.

I haven’t talked to him (Lemieux) about it yet. When the referee explained it to me it made sense, I didn’t see it, at least on the video we had on the bench and there’s many different angles but the way the referee explained it, it adds up. First of all it’s wrong, if it did happen. We don’t want it to happen. And two, it’s not a good situation to put the team in and not only for tonight, but moving forward. Brendan Lemieux has become a really valuable player to our team. I think he knows that, we all believe it and we need him in the lineup. We need him playing every night, we need him playing every minute that he gets offensively, defensively, physically, emotionally, and if we happen to lose him for any period of time, we’ll miss him and he has to understand how important he’s become.

Guys. Don’t hate on Tkachuck. This kid is everything the Kings need. Skill and old school style. If he got bit he deserves to vent. He didn’t cheap shot anyone. There was menace in his cross but it’s just a reminder that he’s there with no intent to harm. I’ll take that EVERY day.

Brady ain't a saint in all of this. Again not saying that what Lemieux did was justified or doesn't deserve the suspension, but I just find it funny seeing Brady calling Lemieux a baby when this whole thing started because of a minor snow shower. Talk about growing up, especially from the captain
