GDT: 2021-22 season game 20 LA Kings vs Ottawa Senators @4:00pm (for some reason) 11/27/21

McLellan, Quick speak on Lemieux + Notes on Byfield, Doughty & Grundstrom - LA Kings Insider

“I spoke to Brendan, we talked about him taking care of his teammates and how much we appreciate it,” McLellan said. “He’s got a team full of supporters today that are happy he’s a part of the group and he does his job and he does it very well.”

“What’s important is what we say about Brendan and what we think about Brendan and that’s pretty clear in our locker room.”

God bless Quickie:

"Speaking of those inside the locker room, goaltender Jonathan Quick was……well, quick to speak about his teammate during today’s media availabilities and address last night’s situation, and Lemieux overall.

“I have my own opinion about what happened, or did not happen last night, and what I can tell you is that any comments that were made about Pep were garbage,” Quick said. “He’s a valuable player who sticks up for his teammates. We all support him and I’d rather have him on my team over that kid any day of the week.”"

"that kid" made me spit out my drink, such a JQ thing to say

I have no doubt he was an absolute turd to teammates in the past but it's pretty clear that has yet to surface here.
Just reading now but

I just take offense to Brady speaking for the Kings. He can bitch all he wants about the bite but to take it that extra step is just embarrassing and it's disappointing a lot of people don't see that.

I don't take offense to it, I think he comes off as a whiny little bitch who has Pepe in his head and is reaching for literally anything to shit talk about

And also good lord man like I said I don't doubt he's had trouble in the past but the WPG org has a major problem, I'm pretty sure we know where every player that comes through there lands on the popularity scale, they don't every shut the f*** up about their dirty laundry and random staffers mouthing off about everyone you would think they'd want to put a lid on that.

I was an Avery supporter (think I am learning from my mistakes) and those are fair differences.

I think so long as Lemieux is a great teammate he gets tons of rope from me, even if he crosses the line once in a while. Let's not forget this whole thing started with Tkachuk and Zub going after Lizotte after no one having the balls to so much as hit any other King the rest of the game

The moment he trends Avery's direction is hopelly the moment he's sent down the same river

He comes off as a trashy jealous ex-girlfriend. This guy is the captain of a team ready to emerge from a rebuild and he behaves like a middle schooler. All he was missing was snot bubbles from his nose. Of course the cult of Canada hockey is in total unison defending his petulant tantrum.

I thought Brady was hilarious in the penalty box. You could read his lips saying, "enjoy your suspension" haha.

I'm getting a weird feeling that it is going to be a long suspension. Like they want to make an example of him, so it will be 20 games or so. Hope I'm wrong.

Reactions: Rumpelstiltskin
Notable biting suspensions:

Jarkko Ruutu (January 2009) - 2 games
Marc Savard (November 2003) - 1 game
Scott Stevens (March 1990) - 3 games
Dave Manson (March 1990) - 3 games

Since Lemieux already has history that includes suspensions and he drew blood, I suspect it's going to be between 6-12 games. I'd be surprised if it was 20.

Maybe we should make a poll.

He was offered an in person hearing, so it's gonna be lengthy and I wouldn't be surprised because of the COVID panic they hit him hard with 20 or so.

considering some of the suspensions the past couple years, i'll lose my Shet if they give him anything more than 5 games.
What did Crosby get for his recent actions? Such a class system of punishment.
