And what an absurd take on that post.

The fact that both Bratt and Hughes are scoring consistently yet the team consistently loses is an indication that there is more to winning hockey games than points.

The NHL has had plenty of players capable of putting up points that spent their entire careers on second tier clubs.
No that is not the case. You realize that excluding Hughes and Bratt that there are 16 other skates and a goalie on the ice?

Perhaps try to look at the goaltending performance and the depth scoring issues and then look to formulate an opinion. Cherry picking 2 player's point totals and then the team record is lazy and poor analysis.

Bratt and Hughes also played 25 games together out of 50 this season.

Hamilton, Bratt and Hughes played 15 games together.

And yet with that same "poor goaltending" the Hughes and Bratt-less (the latter did not play in the 3rd period) Devils looked a heck of a lot better against the Blues than the team has the majority of the time that those two are in the lineup.

Coincidence?

Yes, coincidence. Devils took 8 shots and scored on 3 of them. You're bound to look good when you're scoring on 3 out of 8 shots. I don't even think that was that good a period but it was nice to win a game.

Utica could use him with Studenic getting claimed.

I would rank Moynihan over Studenic (who I really like) in every category except for speed, where Studenic gets a clear edge, and defense, where they are on the same plane.

Moynihan is an extremely smart player with a ridiculously good compete level. This plays up his entire skill set, which is solid across the board without jumping out at you in any one particular area. His shot is pretty impressive, and he's definitely more of a finisher than Studenic in my opinion.

I don’t know if you can put him on as equal with Studenic on defense considering he did shockingly well defensively in the NHL 5v5 and on PK.

Studenic also generated a high number of chances with his speed while playing on bottom six lines, his finishing just sucked. (So I think the chances of Monihan’s finishing is better is definitely there and probably playmaking too.)

Moynihan was utilized on a shut-down line for US-NTDP and is a fixture for Providence when protecting a late lead. I feel he has upside as a strong defensive forward who can provide energy and chip in some offense. That being said, I would not have waived Studenic, whom I really like, but rather Geertsen.
